Re: Legalities of an EFI conversion

I think you will find that if your using the original 2.6 block with all the magna gear stuck to it, including cat convertor an unleaded fuel filler neck and such that you will be ok. Unlikely anyone would know any better when it come rego time an such anyways. Does the fuel filler neck matter anym...

Then build a car to a class instead of having to put your car in a class because of some mods that you made, and then having to race an uncompetitive car. I took my galant wagon to awaba rally club (o...

Re: Hazard Lights

You don't have to have anything a car wasn't made with. All cars have to comply to the current rules of when they were made. Front seatbelts became mandatory in the early 60's so if you have a car made before that then you don't need them. But, put a newer motor in your car and you need to comply wi...

Re: Pros/Cons removing balance shafts

My mates dad used to work for RALLI-ART. They used to remove the balance shafts in the 2.6's they had in their Pajeros (these are the same Pajeros that used to win every rally they entered, or so I believe).
If you need any info maybe they would be good to contact?

Re: My GD

Mark your advance guide (that's on your timing cover) to show 30 deg's. Just work out the distance past the 20 deg mark. Put a timing light on it and see if it advances to 30 deg. It shouldn't go past 30. You idle timing should be set to 5 deg's. Your idle timing should be set with the vacuum advanc...
