I'm not getting touchy, but why would you laugh?
I'm trying to put my engine together the right way, so I ask a relatively simple question and get laughed at.

4g54 main bearings
Hey guys, I'm currently putting my 2.6 back together and I noticed that the bearings that were removed had the grooved half in the block. Is this how they're supposed to go in? It's just that my thinking is, if the groove is on the bottom - or the main cap, then they'll never go dry as the groove ke...

Re: 4G32 belt drive with twin su's :( :( :(
Soooo, I've removed the manifold, ground down th thermostat housing considerably, and re-fit. Now no air leak! I then gave it to my panel beater -who then tig welded the EGR. Now it's nice and quiet until full throttle when I has a nice deep induction noise. I hope this helps anyone else who plans t...

4G32 belt drive with twin su's :( :( :(
Hi guys, over the weekend I fit the twin su manifold off a galant onto my belt drive. I checked the forum first to see if anyone else had done it. One topic said he'd done it a couple years back so I read the topic and all it said was that he needed to shave the rocker cover by 3mm. So I attempted i...

Re: Wreckers with Galants in NSW??
coogee?? dreeeeeeeeaming! im there too and as a rule of thumb - old jap cars rust.... so no cars or parts - except mine
all the wreckers think theyre too good for old mitsy parts.
try anyone past greenacre or the northern wreckers. places like central coast or golbourn are better

Re: Hopper stoppers brake upgrade
Hey guys, this thread caught my eye as I've been looking to upgrade my brakes for a while. Reading through, the commy/380 option would suit me as I have those bits laying around. Re: Crap Brake Pedal - LC Lancer
yeah i think you're right. the first half of the pedal is a giant sponge, although even spongey is still doing something, its just not hard until 1/2 to 2/3 mark
