Re: My '79 GE Scorpion
i know, it was fun to drive, had the IRS rear and all but the body was just too far gone and would never have been able to pass the pits again unless it had a full restore.

Re: My '79 GE Scorpion
I did buy a later model sigma borg warner diff and I took it to a local diff shop but they said they weren't able to source a LSD centre for it so I sold it off. I did a bit of research and I figured the R31 diff was the best option as I can get away with the extra width (60mm overall) which would s...

Re: My '79 GE Scorpion
She made 182rwhp only held back due to the standard injectors, more fuel more power! Trying to work out which intake manifold will bolt to the 4g63b with minimal modification and multipoint injection. As for suspension, not a lot planned not sure what options I have to choose from, so far just have ...

Re: My '79 GE Scorpion
Engine freshen up, the engine had lower than required compression so I had the head recon'd and put all new seals and gaskets through it. I also bought myself a T28 to slap on the side of it. http://s25.postimg.org/8h3a98p0b/DSC02661.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/qimf71j17/DSC02662.jpg http://s25.posti...

My '79 GE Scorpion
Hey Guys, Ive been a member on here for a little while and have posted a couple of threads before but never a build thread of the old girl. A little back ground on her, my grandfather bought her when she was a couple of years old and thought she was the best thing since sliced bread. Now he passed b...

Re: Diff options for '79 Scorpion
the hard part is just going to be finding one around, i might have to try ringing around wreckers who will charge me a bit... I can alway resort to the pintara items but i would like to stick to the 28's.

Re: Diff options for '79 Scorpion
Yeah the Sigma i took apart had IRS which i have laying around if someone wants to buy it, if no one does then she will be tossed in the bin (which seems like a waste to me :( ) I'm going to try and find myself a Skumline diff but i dont think thats going to be easy. What i might do is, do the engin...

Re: Diff options for '79 Scorpion
Okay so tried using a BW out of a later model sigma, there are two reasons why i cant get an LSD for it, A) it has 23 spline axles where i would need to get 28 splines (which i was quoted $850 a pair) B) its only a 7" and if it was a 7.5" i might have been lucky. Ive been given a commonwho...

Re: Rear Window Frame
Damn!
If you could post up pics that would be awesome, thanks!
I might have to give fabricating one up a go and try to get it as close as possible to the original :-(

Rear Window Frame
Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a replacement one of these or maybe a second hand one which is not rusted through? I would need the drivers side however, i just found a pic of one laying around but it is of the passenger side. Should probably mention its for a '79 GE Scorpio...

Re: Diff options for '79 Scorpion
well i may have found a borg warner set up out of a sigma which i may be able to get an LSD fitted too and it looks like it might just bolt in to the car so fingers crossed it comes through!
i might also have to get a second opinion like you said just to be sure.

Diff options for '79 Scorpion
Hey guys, Ive recently bough a Jap imoport sigma turbo with the G63B engine in it and im going to be popping it our '79 Scorpion. I would really like an LSD or something of the like instead of the standard single pegger which we think is in need of a rebuilt anyways. I got in touch with a diff speci...
