Re: GJ Sigma overflow/coolant reserve tank mount.
I havent got a sigma or galant but since no ones replied perhaps you could get the dimensions of the size needed by measuring the coolant tank and chopping one up or you could just use the tank and mount from a different car altogether.

Re: High Compression 2.6L Astron.
oh yeh. do you think that the diesel crank(4D56) is stronger then the 4g54 one even though the 4g54 one is drop forged? im only using the diesel crank cause it's free! also are you just using the standard diesel conrods or aftermarket? man hope to see the high comp engine running soon!

Re: High Compression 2.6L Astron.
Hey man its looking good. I recently got my mill and im slowly learning the process and getting all the parts i need to machine things. So the crank is from a 4d56 and will fit in a 4g54 without any mods? or do you need different bearings or flyeheel? just in the process of pulling a crank out of a ...

much like the others have stated going from mechanical to electric has its problems. you will find that a replacement mechanical pump is both cheap and easy to do and will last quite a while. if ebays not your thing contact either repco or bursons (my prefference is bursons but sometimes repco is ch...

take your rocker cover off. insert your dizzy with the cap off into the head but do not engage it when you but the dizzy in make sure that when you do engage it the flange is in the right spot to secure it. also im guessing your using the wrong hole for alignment. it should be the protruding roll pi...

Re: High Compression 2.6L Astron.
Fair enough i had a look on the net about knifing and people were saying cutting through the oil in the sump but the 4g54's crank should never be cutting through the oil in the sump as it has an oil screen to stop that. Fair enough with the timing on a high comp engine, but is that variation in the ...

Re: High Compression 2.6L Astron.
Why did you go for that instead of a magna dizzy? you still have both a signal for each cylinders TDC as well as a home signal and its hall effect. or even just a bosch unit thats got the hall effect but no dizzy cap? Also is the knifing just for minimising the weight and to help balance the crank? ...

Re: AFTERMARKET CAMTECH CAM SPECS - SATURN - ASTRON - EVO
Id say limited mods are up to a small turbo application. You're going to be much better doing some research on cams and seeing what sort of duration would be suitable.slugma wrote:Stage 3 requires limited mods, wot the hell are limited mods???
Also, how lumpy is the stage 3?
Anyone got a sound clip of one?

Re: AFTERMARKET CAMTECH CAM SPECS - SATURN - ASTRON - EVO
why cant people see that waggots are the best people to deal with???? Too true. Most places don't take the time to check your engine specs/expectations and match the cam. I should be getting a base map for the sport 1000 tomorrow. If you pm me with an email address i can send you an email with it. Keep in mind i have never used this map and its for a sport 1000 so i cant guarantee anything and i would check all the values before starting your car.

Re: Head torque settings
By cylinder to timing head bolts they are the ones that are the closest to the fan side of the engine and need to be tightened to a lower torque then the actual head bolts. Make sure that you untighten them in this sequence: 1 4 6 11 9 3 1 2 8 10 7 5 The number one is the timing chain cover bolts. A...

Re: New head not wot i thought
Cam grinds change the valve timing. they can shorten or lengthen the length of time the valve opens. Look alot of people say that you cant run blow through setups but that isn't entirely true. The engine is tuned to be much less efficient so as to avoid detonation. The biggest problems with carbs is...

Ye but its a V8 and well most V8's are an american solution. Not to mention a v8 is more weight to an already unbalanced front ended heavy car. I also d...

Re: sigma tr magna conversion help/advice anyone???
So the question is whether a TR Magna will have the larger ported head and whether it can have a larger piston diameter piston fitted? Provided you get an EFI TR and it has a m6-m8 head then yes. I recommend a cheap donor. Get one thats cheap (300 is what i paid) but not one with severe engine mecha...
