LB Lancer Panels and Bumpers in NZ....

Hi Guys,

Anyone know of any panels or bumpers for an LB Lancer in NZ? Mine has been sitting outside WAY to long and now that it goes is in need of some serious TLC!

Any help would be much appreciated!

May consider frieghting from Aussie depending on cost. Cheers.

Re: lb lancer not running right

Thanks guys. After just deciding to buy new instead of going to the wreckers for everything I found it was at least one or a mixture of: Clogged jets in carb. Faulty Coil. Faulty Vacuum advance. Incorrect Microfarrat rating on condenser on distributor. Now it purrs beautifully. Problem is now, After...

lb lancer not running right

Hi. I have an lb lancer which i recently had the head redone after sitting for a while. Although it idled ok it wouldnt accelerate and kept missing. After changing points it ran better for a bit but seems to keep arcing them out and they grt worse. Then it would idle, but after about 30 sec it would...

Re: 5 speed onto 4G32

i also mated a 5 speed to my 4g32, and can confirm all you need to change is the gearbox mount. Although i needed to use my 4 speed selector bar thingee that mounts to clutch cable as it was modified and after 10k i lost 5th and reverse and when turning over by hand, it seized. i beleve something fe...

4g52? That is a 2ltr right? Is it a bolt in job? and whats been done to it? Cams etc. The 4g37 has incorect mountings on the block and wont take RWD mounts :( so i will have to use somethnig else.

Re: 87 FWD 4g32 into 78 LC lancer

I agree. It looks similar but by judging on that webpage id say id have to stick with the complete 4g37 setup. im thinking just reversing the thermostat housing and running a steel pipe past the head to the radiator. Then i just have the exhaust issue to deal with. That and finding a suitable clutch...

Re: 87 FWD 4g32 into 78 LC lancer

So i just got the motor and it turns out its a 4g37. Hmmmm. 1800cc is something i would definately be ok with. However, the thermostat is clearly on the wrong side, as i was told the 4g32 would be. However the exhaust manifold gasket looks very similar to mine. What would be the best method of modif...

Re: gear reduction starter motor

Worst case scenario you may have to modify something fit. My friend and i did that once on my old daihatsu, using a newer daihatsu armature with the old cog and old housing. It looked dodgy as hell but it lasted longer than the car did :)..........

Re: 87 FWD 4g32 into 78 LC lancer

Thanks guys. Im probably just going to swap heads to make it fit should it give me too much hassles. Anything i should know about upgrading from the 4 speed box to a 5 speed. some people say it will bolt straight in but others say its a nightmare. I have a box from an ex lancer.

Re: 74 LA Lancer bolt in engine/radiator options

The 4g32 is a good upgrade, even using the 4 speed box 4g36 carb and exhaust there was a huge increase in power. Literally bolt in and turn key.

87 FWD 4g32 into 78 LC lancer

Hi all. H I have an LC lancer that ive had for 2 years now and have changed from the original 4g36 to a 4g32 setup. Unfortunately the motor now uses as much oil as petrol, so its time to replace it. however the only motor i can find is a fwd 4g32 from a tredia. Aside from exhaust stud pattern differ...
