Re: Triton EFI Conversion
If you don't have any electricity ( spark) at the spark plugs then you wont have any at the coil usually with EFI a relay will trigger all the EFI components eg fule pump (which has it own relay again) power to the injectors and coil the ecu will then ground these devices via a trigger eg crank sign...

Re: hidden wiring
I have done a heap of hidden wiring on commodore engine bays and their looms are x3 the size of these older cars. Take your time and plan ahead you need to get from point a to point b without going in the engine bay make shure you don't run wiring where it might rub like over a sharp metal edge or g...

Re: dvsfin's story/rides
looking goody dvsfin tail lights are looking shmick!
Is the battery positive distribution block going to stay there in the engine bay ? or will you be moving it later ?
if you need a distribution for the power you can use the starter motor or alternator +ve bolt.

Re: oil leaks
Hey guys my galant has an oil consumption issue, with oil dissappearing very quick, i narrowed it down to, pressure build up in the sump and coming out the sump gasket, and at the automatic bellhousing, right at the top behind the motor, there seem to be a fair amount of build up coming from the tw...

Re: my 77 galant v6
Good choice with the stroker the best option if you want to keep it all legal and the same engine ,as i said above if you want a bit more room in the bay swap out for a L32 vs-vy ecotec. The vy engine made 140- 150 i think at the fly from factory they are a smaller motor same cc though they are a cl...

Re: 1980 Scorp advice
I have a few questions about the car. Are there any quick fixes/mods to get a little more power out of this beast? (Engine is a 4G54) I am also after a Power Steering belt, but I am unsure on what the part could be. I had a look around on the net the number (13A0750) as a part number seems to be th...

Re: my 77 galant v6
wikid pics looks amazing have you looked into doing a v6 L67 s/c conversion as well? The ecotec L32 and it's s/c brother the L67 are psychically smaller than the buicks v6's as well so u will have a bit more room in the engine bay.

nice trick with the spanners would be handy as, when i was a mechanic i had a few methods i found that spanner racks or magnets are one of the better options, i used to leave them lose when i was an apprentice but once it's organized helps work go a lot smother. http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad...

Re: Alternator Cables in 1986 Gh Sigma
There should be one feed to the battery the big red one that bolts to the alternator, the two other wires are for the regulator one is for a power feed directly from the battery positive uses a fusible link and the other wire is for the alt warning light. also note if you got your alternator upgrade...

Re: blat fattey.. starter is the culprit?
If your battery is going flat then it may have a dead cell or you may have a current draw issuse ,aftermarket alarm could drain it ??
Is it a sealed battery? if not check /top up the fluid levels in the battery. your starter motor wont cause the battery to go flat.
