Hi Rob and welcome, I'll dig up some pics of a chasis drag Scorpion from around 25 years ago and post them here ! .... that's what got me started liking these and the Lancers (Plymouth Arrows) :) Here they are :| It was a 350 chev powered thing running about 8 or 9 secs in the mid/late 80's ! http:/...

Re: Fibreglass panels for LB/ LC Coupe & Colt/ Galants

Do you know why they call spoilers "spoilers" .... obvious realy - they spoil the looks of most cars :o Goodness knows what those "planks" running down the side of the car are, and what on earth was going through someones mind with that front "bib thingy" (designing or ...

Re: Where to mount fender mirror on a LB/LC

Cottee, (my opinion only) those fender mirrors are horrible with a capital H :$ I'm trying to find some nice mirrors to replace the "very unstylish" standard mirrors that came on my LC. Who in their right mind would put "round" mirrors on an otherwise very sharp square edged car ...

Not wanting to get "off topic", but "tracking" as geezer was saying is caused by the geometry set up (mostly scrub radius) ! Fit wheels that put all of the offset to the outside and it will "dart & dive" all over the place on bumpy roads and also be harder to turn w...

1980 LC Lancer build

Hi all, Thought I might post a bit of an update on where my cars at (H) I've had my LC Lancer since about 1991 ..... when I bought it for my wife. I had seen an LB drag car at Calder several times (a 440ci Super Gas class car - they run a 9.90 sec dial in). It was a plain white car (I think it was a...

I can recommend that the Mazda diffs are strong (550hp strong enough in turbo rotary sports sedan) with a spool (mini spool I think)
Lots of ratios available from 3.7 to 5.1 ish I think ... out of the light truck series of Mazdas

The engine bay is probably your "safest bet" and the effect of temperature will not be a "big deal". I'd be much happier with that option than Leoca's :o
Mine is built into the fuel tank btw - but I know that is not what you want to do !!
