Will be some time before the car hits the road (just havn't got enough tim...

Re: Full comp Insurance - Agreed Value

Thanks 75wagon,

Do they accept any agreed value .... or does it have to be within % of the market value ?

The Lancer will be 31yo in 2011 - not that far away

Re: Full comp Insurance - Agreed Value

Thanks everyone for your replies ! Sound like Shannons will be my first port of call and I will try Vigil & Just Car as well. I asked RACV about "market value" - they said it would be insured for about $900 (the premium for one year was that amount!!) .... so I asked about "Agreed...

Full comp Insurance - Agreed Value

Hi guys,

Can I please have an idea of which Insurance Company is the best for Insuring a "heavily modified" LC Lancer for an "Agreed Value" I haven't had to look around for this for a long time.... but will now be soon needing to arrange something !

Re: Seat choice

Thanks Dan

The Engineers thing is not a problem ...... it needs to be Engineered for all the other mods anyway !

As for Sigma seat etc...... not really in the same "ball park" as later model seats (Honda or any others)

Yes, they'll be sensational when finally IN :)

Re: Seat choice

I can tell you what seats NOT to get :( I have some Honda Integra 1992 seats that I'm fitting to my LC. Unfortunately, (like everything else with my car) I'm having to do major fabrication work to fit them. They will be great seats when they are finally in. I have had to cut the floor to get them do...

Re: Front Lower Control Arm - Spherical Bearing

Hi Cheater, I was hoping to hear from you :) I think I will go for ones like you have made up for the Falcons .... feel like making up some more ? ;) I'll send you a PM and arrange to catch up to discuss ... if that's ok ? Stealth - I asked my Engineer about this and he said it was fine and happy to...

Re: Front Lower Control Arm - Spherical Bearing

Thanks Stealth, But have you/anyone used a spherical bearing (like what you would use in the strut top). It just presses into the same spot as the standard bush (but it has perfect rotation and doesn't fight against the caster bar rotation path) :) It is non adjustable for camber (but I've got enoug...

Re: Front Lower Control Arm - Spherical Bearing

Thanks Panda,

I presume that he is using a "rod end" with a male thread and modded the arms with a threaded insert for adjustment of length ? I'd like to avoid this and stick with the standard arm as much as possible (but will resort to this if I run out of ideas/options)

Front Lower Control Arm - Spherical Bearing

Hi all, Has anyone here (probably more so the circuit/rally racing guys) used a spherical bearing (instead of the rubber or nolathane bushes) in the front lower control arms? When looking at setting up the front end of my LC Lancer (with Sigma Lower Control Arms) ..... the inner bush is going throug...
