Re: Best Carb Setup
Damn! Took the words straight out of my mouth! If you do the maths, a stock 2.6 as a daily driver (average 3500rpm) should need a carby around 170CFM. Based on 80% volumetric efficiency. Please correct me if I'm wrong, that's based on (Cubic inches x Max RPM) divided by 3456. Didn' t they make a 180...

Re: What do you get from a tank?
Big holes in what ever you shoot. Ah, cracked me up! Must be slowing down in my old age, took me a while to figure out what you meant :stupid: Sounds like I've got some tuning to do, not that it will matter anyway once I shoehorn in the big clevo. Modified a singlerail bellhousing to take a T5 so I...

What do you get from a tank?
My 2.6 GJ auto wagon gets anywhere from 270Km to 320Km from a tank of regular unleaded. Is that the same for you guys?? I think it holds around 45 litres, so that would be just over 15 litres per hundred Km....
What do you guys do????

Re: Newbie from Perth
Pics loaded in the sigma photos section, see what you think. I'm real keen to talk to anyone that has shoehorned a V8 into one one of these fine peices of machinery. Specifically a ford V8.

Re: Rockers hitting under the valve cover
that rocker cover is definitely from a 2L. Some early sigmas (~1978) which had a japanese-assembled 2.0L engine had Astron 80 on the rocker cover. The locally assembled ones just had a sticker that said astron 2000 (or 2600 when the 2.6L astron was released later). I can't ID the rest of the engine...

Re: Rockers hitting under the valve cover
Just went out and tried to take shots in the dark, failed miserably. I'll do some when there's sun tomorrow. Anything in particular to focus on?

Re: Rockers hitting under the valve cover
Not knowing too much about these, I'm guessing it's a series 1. It has adjustable rockers and the engine number is M53IP23067* I can post a shot if it helps.....

Newbie from Perth
Hi guys, New kid on the block. I have a GJ wagon that is very original and was owned by an old lady. Needless to say it's very tidy. I plan on keeping it as factory looking as I can, but it will get a heart transplant. I have a 302 cleveland and a T5 to go in in the future. I'll keep you posted, but...

Rockers hitting under the valve cover
Hi all, I have an annoying problem. I bought a 2.6 GJ sigma that was a grannies car with a long term plan of putting in a clevo in it. Before I do all that, I will be driving it for a while, so I thought I'd give her a tune. It had a slight rattle that I thought I could cure with some adjustment, so...
