Re: TKO and T 5 4G63 & EVO bellhousing
Bill, I am a huge fan of the t5 gearbox as I have had a lot of experience rallying with them. They are a great gearbox! I've been searching for something to mount one to a wideblock astron for ages, if you were going to make an adaptor, I would bye one tomorrow! We have not had any reliabilty or str...

Re: TKO and T 5 4G63 & EVO bellhousing
G'day Bill I've been following your builds with keen interest on projectzerog and here, aswell as austarion. Its great to see someone like yourself doing this for the mitsu people around the world. Just wondering if you make t5 adaptors for both wide and narrow blocks, its probably been mentioned an...

Matt, how'd you go with this.
If you haven't got them done yet and your coming up to Newcastle some time bring them with you and I'll do them for you. I did mine.

I really rate QFM race pads. They have them for starions. You get them from a company called GSL rallysport in queensland and they're really cheap. They have a website so check them out.

Jeezuz 650 farout!!
I got a new billet of waggotts about 2 years ago with springs to suit delivered for 270 (from memory)
Shame they don't have any more.
They just used magna billets and cut the ends off.
And they are great to deal with.

Re: Commadore shocks in Sigma Struts
I didn't have to put spacers in mine they were the perfect length. I used gh sigma struts with coilover kits and commodore bilsteins. The only thing I had to do was make a sleeve for the bottom of the shock as the commodore legs have a taper at the bottom and the sigma ones don't. Just made it out o...

Dave
The lack of smoke probably has something to do with all the debris on the road (turn right onto tar from gravel) aswell as the 120 odd horses and rally tyres.
Its very very rare that we see any tar at all!!

Re: Dodge dealer performance parts from the 80's
Plus the cars were run largely standard back then, not much of the super special engineering they go through these days. And because manufacturers had a vested interest in their cars winning (because then they sold more), thats why they had all the special bits. Just think what it could be like if p...

Yeah thanks for the links mate, I did find this guys website and his stuff looks awesome.
But the conversion for the t5 is still happening, if its finished by the time I need it (next 2 months max) then it will work out great. If not I'll just have to make one myself.
Thanks again
Mark.

Thanks cheater thats everything I need to know. One other question I was going to ask you was, I saw a photo of a quad magna throttle body manifold you made and was wondering if that was a success? I do know that the 45s are getting a bit lazy on the 2.6, so this idea to me sounds great, and somethi...

Thanks mate My engine now sounds almost identical to yours, I run flat tops with a series 1 head on 45's and it makes 122bhp. Thats pretty close to yours hay!! Although I think my comp at the moment is somewhere like 9.5:1 which is perfect for us as we do only run pump fuel. I'm mainly going for air...

NA rally head
Just after you guys opinions on the right head for my rally 2.6 Its time over christmas to get stuck into the rebuild, which means finally building a good head for it. Yeah I know the tunnel will need modding and all that stuff which is cool. Only thing is the actual mating to the engine, which if anyone has done it to any wideblock, I would really love to hear from you.
If not I guess I'll just have to work it out..

Re: GC Galant , what master cyclinder to suit rear discs.
The only reason I was using scorp calipers was for the handbrake. Which are about the worst handbrakes in the world! Once we finally went to a hydraulic handbrake, which ditched all the scorp stuff cause the commodore calipers are heaps better for a rallycar. You can get good pads easy and cheap and...

Until just recently I had the same combo as you and I used a scorp master cylinder which is 7/8 bore. Works perfect and bolted straight in. Only difference is that mine is boosted so I'm not sure with yours, but just thought it was worth mentioning. May be worth a look. And you can buy them brand ne...

Unfortunately no. The 2.0l crank goes in the 2.6 but not the other way around. I'm pretty sure the block decks are higher.

I took mine out to fit 37 pistons Bored fine...but... couldn't end up getting good pistons. The only 37 pistons I could get had a 2mm dome top which we had machined down flat. Engine went hard but only lasted about 1000ks before it broke a piston, I think due to the brand more than anything else. We...

I have an original owners manual and it reckons the coupes are something like 20 or 30 kg lighter than the sedans (can't remember exactly, I'll try and find out) I think its like 920kg for the coupe.

Maybe weld in a big section of the starion floor with the towers and crossmember mounts and everything.
Big job but do-able, and all will line up.
Cool idea but mate, always like seeing stuff thats different.
