Re: Legalities of an EFI conversion
Tj keep in mind that with capacities, some coupes actually came out with 2L 4g52 as well (not many out here)
Its still more than 15% I know but it may help.

Re: Full comp Insurance - Agreed Value
No body would touch mine, being a competition car though I wasn't surprised, so third party for me.
I just get really nervous driving it in traffic with all those clowns, and make sure its tucked up in the shed at home away from sight when we're not away with it.

Re: Bullet Proof Diff conversion for any vehicle!
That is cool, I'm all for seeing stuff thats different. And it will be UNBIRSTABLE! However I still like my hilux diff that I didn't have to shorten to fit in my galant, but I've since found that the hilux LSD is rubbish, and the reputation of the patrol unit is legendary in the 4wd world. Cool mate...

Re: LA lancer engine crossmember in gakant?
Their just sigma ones. Any top that has the three bolts should fit, eg galant sigma scorpion. Lancer ones have four bolts as do some other models, which wont go.

Re: Gearbox question
Triton gearboxes have a bigger output shaft (or atleast the one I put in my galant does). Apart from that they're identical.

VB to VP inserts fit, their all the same part number. And you can get lowered variants aswell I think.

Re: LA lancer engine crossmember in gakant?
I have almost that setup in my gc coupe and works perfect. Heres my list. LC crossmember, had to just elongate two of the holes (easy) and the width is perfect.(I've got a feeling that LA ones line straight up but I couldn't find one so you maybe lucky). Sigma crossmembers don't fit real well, too w...

Re: Commodore front inserts
I've got commy bilsteins in GH sigma struts so that should be the go, they do bolt straight in without mods.
I know that scorp struts are different but I just don't know how.
I'm pulling my struts out tomorrow to give them a bit of a service so I'll get some measurements then and post em up..

Re: Our 1975 GC Hardtop (pic heavy and epic read!)
Yeah we were stoked with our best result ever. We got 5th outright and 3rd outright classic.
We had such a good run and our car is finally getting there, (after about 4 years build and developement) so we're real keen for bathurst.
How did your guys end up??

Re: weld on coilover sleeves
For my rallycar I got a kit from noltec with everything I needed to suit a commodore strut as I use commodore bilsteins which bolt straight into the sigma struts. And I just use standard stut tops. But...A friend was trying to track down a kit, and apparently noltec was bought out by whiteline and t...

Very awesome mate..great job. I run my white GC coupe in amsag too, great rallies. Just another story about the ex works lancers and the team not wanting to fork out the big tax to take them back into japan, apparently heaps got chucked over the side of the ships on the way back over. Wether or not ...
