So the clear is more recommended to keep it fading in the first place?.or more to give it a brighter shine?.... It's to protect metallics. It won't shine anymore or less then solid colours... V6 would be cheaper .There was one in the paper here on the weekend for $350!!, with all you need to run it.
Do you want old school or embrace technology???
