ive got one.. what do you want to know? they are a good car, can be trouble if they havent been maintained well, all the tbi setups are shit, jb's had optioned LSD's, good luck getting a JD in aus with out spending a bit, they all have leaky injectors and the map sensors play up, headlight switches ...

my brother had to get a custom built center for his centura diff, was a 4 pinion with 3:45 gears, expensive excercise..

please never run a engine without the balancer bolted on tight, it WILL throw off the timing belt and bend the valves, ive seen it happen.

you need to buy a dolley and a slapper, those dents will come up nearly with out using bog at all, as long as u can get up close enough by the door frame from the inside? i think this one needs lowering alot and a decent 2.6 with a megasquirt or similar

easy fix, leave about 25mm or pipe sticking out of the exhaust manifold and fold it over on itself and crimp it flat, or weld the pipe shut. test the resistance of your leads, over 12k ohms chuck em away, pull off each spark plug lead with the engine running and find the cylinder that it dosent make...

i was taught that polishing inlet ports dosent let the fuel atomise and forms droplets instead of being a mist going into the cylinder.

starts boosting at about 2,000 full boost buy about 4,000 and holds it to 6500. Im going with a decent turbo later on possibly a gt35/40 and external wastegate.

im running 230rwkw on 18psi, chinease t3/t4 turbo, .62 rear , 780cc injectors, xf throttle body, tp magna inlet manifold, vl turbo fuel pump. on 98 octane

i find it easier to remove the manifolds, that way when working on the head the carby isnt getting bashed around on the bench upside down. undo the head bolts from the outside to the inside, and inside to outside when torquing them up, make sure the head is machined. it will be either a galant GL or XL, farily sure there wasnt any specail models in wagons, best would be a 4sp XL with better interior.

its easy, take inlet and exhaust manifolds off, set engine up at TDC compression cylinder number one, slacken off timing belt tensioner and slip belt off! a chain drive manual wont be much good to you, you need one for a belt drive that shows all the timing marks.
