TO3 kit (TO4 are the same parts) but you will also need a carbon seal insert.

Re: need some help with motor build
Does anyone know at what point one will need to go a billlet crank in a 2.6 ?
I bet the block would go first before you will need a billet crank.

Re: Gj turbo build help
The Ebay link is set up for an engine already efi. If you want to keep it carby you have two options. Draw through or blow through. Both can use the standard carby but they both need some fabrication to adapt. I prefer the draw through because of the simplicity in tuning but harder to attach to the ...

Hitachi HT18 from a series 4/5 mazda rotary.
Some t25's have them but hard to tell which ones.
Or maybe a sigma turbo.

Re: can i use a cordia turbo with a draw through carby
No,
They are piston ring seal turbo's at the compressor end which can't handle vacuum behind the carby throttle plate. It will cause it to suck oil through the seal. Try a blow through set up with a webber.

first it removes weight - more important it removes weight that the engine needs to drive ( robbing some power that could be used to move the car ) it removes a weak link - the balance shafts are an out of balance shaft made to spin at twice the speed of the engine there out of balance is to off se...

Re: carbs and turbos ?
If you have to go carby, Draw through works well with side draft webbers but have a small float bowl and can run out of fuel unless it is modified. Cd carbies ,strongbergs or SU's are not bad but not as responsive as the webber. Blow through is good ,easy to do ,and you can run an intertcooler but c...

Re: Decomp plate help???
You can get away with just straight to the block but if you have any inperfections it will leak. Generally it is done with two had gaskets sandwiching the decomp plate so it will take up the scratches or whatever but you have top work out your compresion ratio just incase you don't go too low. The f...

Re: Turbo for EFI build
Sounds like you've found a good all round turbo for your engine. Don't know where full boost will peek but for a good drivable turbo car with plenty of grunt, that turbo would be good. Both housing sizes will work but it depends on how you like your power curve. Going .63 will be resonsive but restri...

Re: Max oil pressure - Turbo smoke
A turbo can handle 90psi but it may not handle the drain back from that volume if you have a small drain. Also the sump breathing can do it.
Check these things keeping in mind of the best possible drain back for the oil.

Re: factory turbo carb cd 175
You only need an electric pump if you are running more boost than the fuel flow can handle. The main probs with the CD carbies are the diaphram stiffening or having a leak and the needle wearing out. The single 45 webber can put out some stout performances compared to the CD. My brother ran a 2lt es...

I have herd that you can set up a methanol injection system to act as a inter cooler but have no idea how to go about it, i also haven't herd much on how reliable they are. You can run water methonol injection with a draw through carby and it can be a very tough street car. I have turbo'd many 2.6 ...

Genaral rule of thumb from turbocharging something ,IT's about double the horspower at 15psi.But take into acount the turbo size and carby size an esitimate would be about 180 hp flywheel.
