Re: Tommy's GB Restoration
I do have a resister only i didn't know wtf a ballast resister was until i realised its a condenser basically. Hence why i have the gt40r. The ignition was not left on, the lights were on parkers and that's it. I came home to it on the floor so I can't think of what happened other than faulty coil a...

Re: Tommy's GB Restoration
Went to super cheap auto and they wouldn't refund my dodgy coil so I'm filing a complaint with the accc LOL
Crossed the road to supercheap auto and bought a gt40r, never had a colder coil in my lifetime!

Re: Tommy's GB Restoration
awesome thanks mate
Will come in handy this afternoon when I swing back into the shit place to replace it.
Actually I think I'll just get my money back, only reason I went there was because they open at 7:30

Re: Tommy's GB Restoration
Yeah I picked up a gt40r coil and the dude asked me what car I had so i told him and he suggested one he had on the back shelf. Assuming he knew what he was talking about I took his advice haha. Bad decision I think. I believe my car does not have a ballast resister. Although It does have what looks...

Re: Tommy's GB Restoration
Update - car was all ready for rego on sunday then the un-thinkable happened. left the lights on over night and not sure exactly how but the coil burst into flames and cooked itself melting plastic all inside the engine bay. Hooray! We think it's just a dodgy coil? so my brother thought he would be ...

Re: Little sis's GA Galant
Hey jono, I bought carpet-like material from spotlight and used that as the flooring in my old mazda 1300 I later decided to upgrade to that 'plush pile' crap off ebay and when it arrived it fitted almost to suit but still wasn't as good as i thought it would be for $200 I'd say if you have the time...

Re: Tommy's GB Restoration
hmmm, taking all of what you guys said into consideration, I think for now I will just get some new front brake shoes, rebuild the cylinder and wait til later days to do the conversion. I have been told they don't make gb galant brake shoes anymore which I believe to be an ignorant response due to t...

so the engine is good to go bar one tiny thing which is really annoying haha.
My old rocker cover doesn't fit the 4g32 head?
aparently it doesn't bolt in to the head?
anyone know how or where they bolt on by any chance?

4g32 head onto 4g33 bottom end
So as the title states a 1.6l 4g32 cylinder head onto a 1.4 4g33 can it work?
what other heads are interchangeable onto a 1.4 4g33?
any knowledge is greatly appreciated
Thanks!
