Re: GK GSR.. Turbo Carb or EFI Turbo

Sigmaproject,
i think the point you were trying to make is you have no clue, all you can do is talk crap making out like you think you know how to do things.
maybe you should actually do instead of just talk.

Re: GK GSR.. Turbo Carb or EFI Turbo

so are we building a race car or a car for someone to learn from ?
you can just bolt the stuff on and it will work fine.

i don't know about you but when i was 17 i didn't have thousands to spend.
thats the trouble with forums, full of "experts" but hardly any of them are helpful.

Re: GK GSR.. Turbo Carb or EFI Turbo

yes that is how long it took me to install the factory turbo kit i bought (by myself on the street) and your doubt that it can be done that quick either means; 1. you have no idea about cars and just try to talk like you do, 2. you are jealous you couldn't do it in that time frame, or 3. your just a...

Re: GK GSR.. Turbo Carb or EFI Turbo

Please,

a carbi turbo upgrade takes 3 hours if you have all the parts, and if setup correctly will yield similar power gains as efi.
only benefit of EFI is extra time(2 days)/money(at least $2000 more) to install, and a fancy little ECU to play with if you know how.

Re: Factory Turbos?

i know a guy that bought the whole setup from a factory turbo from air filter through exhaust for 1500

but if you can find individual parts you can probably halve that price

(i have an intake manifold sitting in the garage i will sell)

Re: Was there a factory made 2.6T?

the 2.6 police cars are a myth,
they had 3 turbos on loan, but they were just the 2 lt with no 2lt badging on them

i believe it was motor magazine in 82 that mentions these police cars on a review they did on the turbo

Re: EFI Help

i would no ruin a GSR, as EFI is a bit of cash for not that much gain. but if you have to back when i started i got a EFI TR magna for $300 (only had a blown head gasket) check ebay. i think it is about 200 to get a inlet manifold welded. i payed 140 for a head in the past. you could do it in a day/...

stock tacho hookup

just wondering if anyone out there has hooked up the stock tacho in a sigma after an EFI upgrade.

if so how was it done, i have seen some wiring diagrams with a resistor or two.

but just wondering if anyone knows how to do it.

thanks
