Re: 1976 GD Galant A57 Sports Pack
noooo!! I'm a pretty chilled out guy but when i see a car keyed like that it somehow just lights me up. I mean, it's different to theft where someone wants something and so they take it. It's the motivation here that boggles my mind: it's like "i don't really want that car so i'm not going to b...

Re: 2 years later its happening.
I'm still not sure if I do it quality with straight bumpers and panels or if I should use a ruined bumper set and have the number plate hanging off and really dented guards? This is where I need help In my opinion, if you are going the heavy surface rust look, then maybe stick with panels and brigh...

Re: Astron running lean
Once it starts missing it does it all the time, at all rev. It doesn't go away even when the engine temp comes back down. yep, in that case it's not likely to be anything fuel or air related -sounds like your alternator is putting out too few volts as it heats up (bad regulator)? when I fitted the ...

Re: Astron running lean
I am going to try a different dizzy now, if that doesn't work I am totally out of options. When it starts to misfire, does it do it only under acceleration or at all RPM? Dunno the history of your alternator or if you had any coolant leak into it while changing over to EFI but I'm thinking your alt...

Re: Astron running lean
You may be running a bit lean but i don't think that would be causing your engine to miss when hot.
I'd be looking at the coil/distributor side of things.

Re: chasing opinions for my gd grill
Though it sounds like a fun project, building a new grill from scratch will take a lot of time and effort to get a good finish and when you're done, the final design still may not look convincing. Have you thought about just fitting a standard GD grill and putting some suitably cool spotlight covers...

Re: gn wagon lights question
Hi,
Rear tail lights from any sigma wagon will fit and front parkers would need to be GJ onwards. They MAY be different to sedan indicators as the fenders are different shape so try stick with GJ+ wagons.

(i made the leading edge of the bonnet orange also) http://i985.photobucket.com/albums/ae340/duff-munt/Miscellaneous%20crud/GHscorpio...

Welcome aboard Gormzz,
What level of bosozoku are you aiming for. As I understand it, bosozoku style varies considerably. With wild, intentionally obnoxious styling at the extreme end.
show us some pics of your rides and also some of other cars that are inspiring you at the moment.

Re: 8" wide rims????? Good or bad???
not sure if the GE scorpion is much different to the GE sigma, but you could get 8in rims to fit under the front of a GE sigma if the offset was spot on and you ran stretched tyres.

Re: 3D's Galant
That's awesome, Fibri. I especially like that last pic. One thing i have noticed though, is that your blueprints are not quite right correct -i think the roof may be too high by about 3cm? I am trying to 3D model an earlier model sigma (1978 sigma/galant wagon) but have found that all the sigma blue...

very nice barrels.
might look even better with some jdm bumpers? I think the black rims might have suited the no bumper look better.

Re: 3D's Galant
That's great stuff, Fibri! I tried using 3Ds Max several years ago but i found it quite complicated to use. Only in the last 2 weeks, i have started using Sketchup (it's free). I'm currently trying to learn how to model a car. I've worked out how to do wheels, but the body is proving to b...

Re: My MA L200 ute
75glnt, i know u r looking at GE sigma front end or other options but you know, if you keep the chrome headlight rings and black out the grill, while retaining the top and bottom silver strip then it will look almost there and without all the headaches. See photochop below. (I've also added ZG flare...
