Re: SA - Mallala Track Day - 19th June

You only need a road worthy car (self scrutineering form you sign saying it's ok) a helmet and wrist, neck, ankle clothing (non synthetic)(pants and long sleeve top) and closed in shoes I just noticed that there is no extinguisher required. Is this correct? Usually when I used to do track day event...

Re: What are your favourite 8cyl, 6 cyl and 4cyl motors?

Lucky Basturd. I would love to be able to have drive of one. I imagine that their fuel consumption would be a lot higher than manufacturers quote due the sound of the motor. :D Edit: I imagine that their fuel consumption would be a lot higher than manufacturers quote due to the owner wanting to hear...

Re: What are your favourite 8cyl, 6 cyl and 4cyl motors?

4 Cyl: R39B out of the Colt F2000 race car
6 Cyl: the motor in the 997.2 911 GT3RS 3.8L. 330KW N/A, more power than HSV from two less cyl.
8 Cyl: AMG's 6.2l. My boss has a Cl63 and his son used to have E63 and I tell you now the sound is pure heaven.

Re: your favorite thing about your car?

Unfortunately I haven't really driven my current LA (except in the street), But the thing that made me wan't to buy another LA, 8 years after my last one, was the way they drive and handle. I remember in my old LA's you could feel every single bit of the road and could feel exactly what the car was ...

Re: ga /gb coupes

Vehicle transport from NZ is way more expensive than from Japan Then I guess Japan is your best bet, Though I guess it also depends on what car costs + transport costs = from NZ and Japan and also how frequent they come up for sale in each country. I would have thought it vwould have been cheaper f...

Re: ga /gb coupes

Your best bet would NZ. There's one on trade me, but it's an unfinished drag car. There were a couple of quite good ones for sale on trade me a few months ago and if I remember correctly one was a GS. I think the going price of one is probably around NZ $4000-$6000. They may have also so sold them i...

If you go to "Another new member" in Intruduce yourself I have photos of my LA with Cheviot rims that are 13x5.5 and are identical to superlites. I believe Performance bought the design off Cheviot from what I have been told. Years ago I used to have actuall 13x6 superlites on my old LA an...

Re: GC hardtop with GTO

Nath76LA, do you know what the non standard lower front indicator/fog lens are for on the GTO? The reason I ask is that those are a close match to the originals and the originals (either amber or clear of combo) are impossible to find. No , I'm not to sure. I did notice these but thought they were ...

Re: GB versus GD Who is the winner

A GTO if allowed (with the honeycomb style grill). If not a 16L GS hardtop. I actually really like the dash design in these unlike the GB sedan . A shame they never imported these and the GTO to Australia. Then followed by a GC Hardtop. Edit: after the GTO would be the Galant FTO GSR if we are consi...

sorry yes a hatchback I meant. This one was originally beige but he resprayed it bright yellow. This is his second one. Re: NSW Parramatta Cruise Discussion topic

Hi all, I agree with Dan that valentines day might be the reason the last cruise didn't have as many people turn up as expecting and having this one on mothers day might have the same result. Having it on the same day as the Street Machine Nationals may just work into S-G's favour if the word gets a...

Orange GC/GD at Tugerah

Hi all, I was at Tugerah today at a show and shine. When leaving I looked in my rear view mirror to pull away from the kerb and while doing so noticed a orange GC/GD galant turning out of the home maker centre about 30 metres behind me. Unfortunately by the time I had turned around they were gone. J...

Did you go to sherifs and if so, which store as they have one at Parra and at Kings Park.

Hi all I'm Nath and have finally decided to join the site after being a viewer for a while.
