Re: Disk Brake conversion.
What would be required for the conversion???? GH Sigma struts and take the brake hoses too. You'll need the strut to caliper end. GH Sigma struts are 3 bolt bottom plate struts (Same as Galant and Lancer). I have GH struts on my Lancer Hatch. Later model struts will fit, but you need to take the st...

Re: Carby starting troubles.
Well, generally a carby car will require the accelerator to be pumped 1-2 times to turn the choke on (if it's auto choke), it also pumps a little fuel into the carb as well, as soon as it starts i can turn it off and it will start again without throttle. Before i start it tomorrow i'll check if ther...

Re: Carby starting troubles.
Once it's warm it drivers as per normal, if i leave it sit for say up to 5 or so hours it will still start very easily, just when it's been sitting for a day or more, just cranks for a fair while before i assume fuel can get to the float bowl.

Carby starting troubles.
Hey, So i have a gb galant with a 4G33 stock as a rock, i put an auto choke carby from a gc on it. The galant that the carby was off was on gas for god knows how long, i had to change the float because it had started to wear itself away on the bottom of the float chamber as there was no fuel, anyway...

Re: 1973 GB Galant
Yeah, sure, I'll take one tomorrow after work.
Since the start of this thread we have moved house and the galant now lives in the garage, which is where it belongs!!
If it gets kicked out of there we have a carport too.

GH green struts?
So i've been reading bits here and there about these "green struts" from a GH sigma. I haven't been able to find any real concrete sort of answers. Maybe if we get some concrete facts about these struts going into galant this thread could be stickied or something? Anyway, I want better bra...

Re: 1973 GB Galant
Well the problem with the speedo not working was that the cable wasn't plugged into the back...easy fix!
Also had a look at the heater controls and i just need a cable so that's no major issue either.
Now all i need is a front passenger guard..anyone got one? I'll put it in the wanted section too.

Re: 1973 GB Galant
Mine has the MPH speedo too. The speedo doesn't work and i can hear a continous ticking sound when i'm driving so it's either the dash cluster or the cable. I'll pull the cluster out in the morning and let you know. can you PM me with a price?

Re: 1973 GB Galant
first plan is to get it roadworthy and into my name...it only has one months registration left so hopefully it doesn't need too much done to it. Then after that just things like exhaust, carby, lowering etc etc. There's no hurry as my other car is the daily. One major thing it needs is a front guard...

1973 GB Galant
G'day, name's Corey, i was a member for years on the old site...not that i posted much. I used to have a GB galant in yellow, 4g32, ROH wildfire wheels, exhaust etc on it, i used it for autocross/motorkhana but i was pretty young (14) so i didn't really know what i was doing engine wise. I had great...
