Thanks I think I am going to need an origonal front grill my plastic one is a little too broken up I think.
Just hooked it up to the dyno for some light tuning today to see how its all going before I get too serious. Getting quite excited about it.

Re: RPW now Turbo'd Galant Updates for those interested
Well the galant is up and running again. Transmission has been fitted and we have it currently up and running on the "small turbo cam" this moment to make it easier to get things sorted out. Going onto the dyno in the next few days for some nice tuning and then our plan is to hit the Motor...

We just finished his exhaust tonight with a nice 2 1/2" system with a Lukey Ultra flow rear muffler, magnaflow resonator and a small hotdog in between the two to keep noise at aceptable levels. Sounds nice. Carburettor has been fixed (Was flooding on the float levels) and car is now running and...

Re: 4G32, 4G33 and 4G37 crankshaft interchange
All of the belt driven 4G32/33/37 Cranks are all interchangeable. It was only the chain drives which had variations in the rear crank rear main oil seal setup.
They are all the same stroke / same bearings.

Don't waste your time with a microtech, there are better systems for the same price out there. My personal favourite is the current haltech Sprint 500 ECU. Matches for your application any motec and the microtech isn't even in the same ballpark.

Re: RPW now Turbo'd Galant Updates for those interested
Sorry I didnt keep the moulds, I sent off the origonal bonnet to a fiberglasser adn they made it off that. I never got the moulds. But saying that, if there were the coupe boot lid, and front guards I would be interested in getting some as well. Anything to get the weight down in the vehicle. But if...

Re: RPW now Turbo'd Galant Updates for those interested
To be honest no new pics of teh transmission - just looks like a normal torqueflight and the same with the converter.
No plan on fiberglass guards athis moment - we already have the fiberglass bonnet, just want to get the car running consistantly first and then focus on times later.

Re: RPW now Turbo'd Galant Updates for those interested
I have my now completed Torque Flight 900hp capable transmission finished, a 4750 rpm stall converter (Built to highest specificatiosn available) and we just finished machining the spacer plate to shift the transmission back 20mm to work with the longer input shaft / torque converter. Hopefully next...

Re: RPW October 2011 Special - 10% off all work performed.
I am only guessing at this moment of course, but a set of cusotm pistons around $1300, crankshaft and conrods around $1800 - $2000 depending upon whether we can use an existing design (Don't see why not) or have to go more custom. I just finished building a stroker motor for my own EVO 3 and have do...

Re: RPW October 2011 Special - 10% off all work performed.
The first issue is not getting pistons, we can always get a custom set made. But you usually bore the engine after you gert the pistons to ensure the piston to bore clearnce is done properly. Cranksahft is no problem I can get custom cranks made fairly cheaply although getting a 100mm stroker crank ...

Re: RPW now Turbo'd Galant Updates for those interested
More updates, unfortunately beginning to wish I hadn't gone for a torque flight transmission, turning into more of a headache than anything else. Due to the size converter we are running, for a 5000rpm stall, its down to something like a 7" converter. This in conjunction with the 20mm longer US...

Re: Front Spoilers and Rear Flares for GC Galant Hardtop
Nice shots and thanks for the information, but i don't want to have to shorten the differential or start changing rims to get a different offset to bring the tyres in further. That is something I may look at later when I go to do the full rollcage into the rear of the car etc. Here is an updated pho...

Re: Front Spoilers and Rear Flares for GC Galant Hardtop
We have no plans to tub the car at this stage. Our normal drag tyres fit fine, we only need around another 1" flare added to keep it all legal. Thats why cutting and fitting some flares will work nicely. We are staying currently with the leaf spring setup which has already been all modified wit...

Been a while between posts. Updates recently Custom billet torque converter is nearly finished, expensive piece costing me $1800.00 by itself. Its a full billet roller bearing 4500 rpm stall unit. Can't finish the box till that is done as we had to get the splines setup for hte custom input shaft on...

Re: RPW now Turbo'd Galant Updates for those interested
This current motor is a hybrid Naturaly aspirated / turbo engine so its only good for around 15 psi maximun. Should be good for our plan of around 350hp at the wheels. The capacity of this engine is only 2400cc. The proper motor I build will be back out to 2.7 litre and that will be setup for around...
