Re: Rob's GN
ok, I think I will do that.
so I'm looking for a 5speed from a 2ltr GK or GN.
1. I need a new clutch
2. mod tail-shaft / (different spline)
what about the speedo drive ? also will I have to change the Xmember again?
cheers

I will put the efi on remove the balance shafts ( b/shafts - hopefully pickup 150hp  ). So the ja...

Hydraulic clutch conversion tips S I G M A
Hey there,
I am eyeing off a triton 5 speed at the wreckers and I think this gbox is from a car with hydraulic clutch.
Has anybody done a conversion from cable to hydro? What is the most compatable donor?
cheers

Re: Rob's GN
MMC (JAP) gear box would have been better choice, Borg-Warner may not last the distance, they have a bad reputation.
Block is a narrow block, didnt think I could get a jap 5speed to suit.

I have been following this thread. I have the ebay balance shaft elim kit. My motor is a stock astronII and I will be removing the b/shafts in the next week or so. I would like to get my hands on the oilpump pictured above. Does anyone know where/what they are?
