wagon spoilers

Post by Scorpma82 »

G'day all

Has anyone fibreglassed a spoiler for a sigma wagon??????
I've considered doing it but not sure what size or angle

The ones i've considred most are the rubber/foam ones on the cordia's and the two used on the MAD MAX black interceptor.....any thoughts????

I take it you are wanting something different to the standard one on the Hi-Top wagons...

yeah i've had a look at the factory wing on the high roof model......unfortunately it wasn't really the look i was after and the wing can only be attanched to a high roof model as it is bolted through the high roof section (at least that's what the arrangement was on the one i looked at)

Or if you really want to be different, make something like this....

I think the Legnum rear spoiler would suit it prefectly.

If they were long enough to sit down on the tail lights like it does on the Leggy I think it will look sweet.

Even if you were able to find someone who could make a rear spoiler for you out of urethane I'd seriously reconsider. The 3 piece spoilers that were fitted to cordias were a horrendous rust trap - they retained a lot of water under them...

I ended up having to source a replacement hatch after owning this as my first car and had the whole spoiler removed :hit:

You'll need to think about how you want to mount it and the look you're after - aero style, JDM picnic shade (long rear overhang) or an alloy pro street wing (personally I'd make it small and subtle). Attaching anything to the tailgate of a wagon is tricky business, but if you can get your design to match the existing lines/styling it would look awesome!
