Yeah it will save you from rubbing it back becoz it will be melted
Re: paint stripper on plastic - safe?
I will be interested in the outcome as I have a few painted plastic bits I have picked up and would like to clean up.
On a similar thought, any ideas on what I can use to remove tacky glue from plastic? ie: peeled the plastic wood of my console and it has left tacky glue behind

My brother uses White spirits for stuff like that. It's available at Bunnings in the Painting section.Galant_GT0 wrote:On a similar thought, any ideas on what I can use to remove tacky glue from plastic? ie: peeled the plastic wood of my console and it has left tacky glue behind
I have also used shellite (lighter fluid). All you need to do is put some vinyl restorer on it afterwards (amourall).
What ever you try, try a small bit on the back on the console first to make sure it doesn't soften the plastic.
