The instrument lighting on my LA is now very dull, even with the light control turned full up.
I've had a quick look at the rear of the dash & can't see any accessible globes, so now wondering if the lighting is internal to the instrument cluster.
Anybody had similar issues & sorted a suitable fix to improve the instrument lighting?
Cheers, Cunjie

Re: Dash Intrument Lighting
The dash light dimmer rheostat switches contacts bend and fail to make full contact. Essentially it a potentiometer or variable resistor and you are left with a dimmer switch that can't be turned to the zero resistance position. You can sometime bend the turning plate but you can simply replace it with a generic potentiometer or use a similar looking dimmer switch from another car. Re: Dash Intrument Lighting
Cheers aussiblue, I'll try the adjustment to the turning plate & if no luck source a suitable replacement. Might pass on the Ferrari one tho.
Re: Dash Intrument Lighting
I replaced mine with leds, not adjustable anymore, but works awesome.
Re: Dash Intrument Lighting
Pistol, was it an easy swap out for the LEDs or need a mod?
Re: Dash Intrument Lighting
Easy as mate, just take the old bulbs out and the leds fit straight in, when I get the pics up and running again (phucking photobucket), you'll see what I mean.
