Just curious if anyone knows, are auto LC lancers rare? Also, what trans did they use?
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Auto LC lancers....
I've seen 2 in 30 years... both had factory A/C. It was a 3 speed auto, but no idea which one.
Re: Auto LC lancers....
Only 2 in 30 years? Wow lol. I guess they would be fairly hard to come by then. I had one as my first car and still have the running gear from it. No A/C tho. But the engine is one that has no silence shaft thing. I've heard that the auto trans might be a baby 904 torqueflite. Was just looking to find out if that's true.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Auto LC lancers....
One would assume it is probably the same gearbox from the Galant's if it is a factory Auto LC.
I have no proof of this but assuming it as they were both 4G32's.
Cheers

Re: Auto LC lancers....
Well, as far as I can see it only the 2 liter Celeste had the auto gearbox MA904-A2. The 1,6 liter Celeste were all manual.
For the Galant Sigma and Galant Lambda it's the same gearbox but with different dash-number: -A1 and -A3. The dash-number seems to indicate that there is a different speed pinion assy on the speedometer gear for those different car models.
I've got this info out of the Mitsubishi 4g32 and 4g52 engine parts catalogues...
As for a Celeste with auto gearbox: they are extremely rare. For Belgium + Netherlands I know that they weren't imported. I don't know for the rest of Europe

Re: Auto LC lancers....
My LC is was an auto before i manual converted it lol. Didnt realise that they were that rare
Re: Auto LC lancers....
I've seen a few here in WA when they first came out (mainly lady owners) and like the manual they had 1600cc belt drive engine. And yes it was the MA904 transmission.

Re: Auto LC lancers....
And both the factory Lancer Celeste factory workshop manual and the Chrysler Australia parts manual on microfiche show the auto trans with the 1600 engine in the LC in Oz.
