Re: 1/4 Mile Leaderboard
My Scorpion wagon ran a best 20.01@60odd mph....very slow I know...but I am winning atm
With my next wagon built, I will be aiming at around about the 15sec mark.....certainly nothing exciting, but I'm setting the car up for comfort for when i drive 200km's to get to a car show...not to save .5 of a second on a 400m piece of road

Ha ha, too true Jason... in my opinion, fast car or otherwise, corners are more fun too. Even (especially!) in massive RWD muscle cars

Re: 1/4 Mile Leaderboard
I wouldnt mind going to calder one night just to see what I can run but I dont like the idea of paying 70 bucks for 3 runs because its full of people tesing out their new pod filters on their commodores.
When my club (charger club) does a heathcote day I'll post it up on here anf maybe make a good day out of it.
Nascar is for rednecks with too much money. Lol.
I like to drive my car than more than 10 seconds at a time, so my vote goes to circuit racing.

Re: 1/4 Mile Leaderboard
I get Nascar as literally every car is built to the same specifications. It's left to the pit crew and the driver to find the edge (but it is as boring as paint to watch). Circuit racing would be a blast but you don't want to go out on the track with your daily and go home with it in a wheel barrow

Re: 1/4 Mile Leaderboard
I have a 1980 Scorpion 2.6 5 speed which I'm slowly working, here are the results of my drag runs:
Stock standard - 18.396
Side draft carb - 17.194
High comp pistons, race cam, head work - 16.769
Diff ratio change 3.54 & LSD - 16.520
I do one project a year and then a drag run to objectively check the results...
