Hey guys,

Luke here, Mitsubishi Motors Australia's Community Manager. Just wanted to introduce myself here and let you know about our official Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/MitsubishiMotorsAustralia

as well as the competition we've just launched to celebrate 30 years in Australia.

Go to http://www.lovethatcar.com.au and upload a picture or video of yourself polishing the badge on the front of your Mitsubishi (like at the end of our TV ads where they say, "Love that car") and you could win one of 2 VIP World Tours valued at over $50,000. There are also 10 x $1000 prizes for the "most voted" and "judge's choice" entries, plus 10 x $500 prizes just for voting.

All models - new, old, imported, whatever - are welcome to enter!!

Any questions, sound off below. Otherwise, hope to catch you on Facebook.

Cheers

Luke

My Galant has a Valiant badge. Does that count?

Ummmm at the end of the day, probably not unfortunately. The T&Cs are what we have to stick to letter for letter, and they say "Mitsubishi badge shine" unfortunately. Sorry!

What about the badge on my LA Lancer then? It has the Mitsubishi diamond logo above the horses head (and it needs a polish too).

If it's got the diamonds, it's in!

My hardtop had Valiant, Chrysler and Mitsubishi badges, lol. It was made in the Japanese factory so I guess it was a Mitsubishi first
Unfortunately it still requires a bit more than a polish. The competition sounds great though, hope you get a good response from the RWD community.

LOL. I just found the 69 colt, the 84 GSR, and the 82 turbo all have badges on the front of Em. My bro is coming round tomorrow to help with the camera duties as all 3 are lined up in the shed :).

I have a diamond badge on the wagon,
..is that a beanbag i see where the front seat should be?? Awesome
I think MMAL would also appreciate the WW2 'zero' fighter paint scheme (also a Mitsubishi BTW).

I think the promotion/competition is a great idea. Unfortunately my sigma missed out on the Mitsubishi badges by about 9 months but there would be lots of suitable tri-diamond badged vehicles here on S-G

Guys, just letting you know we've just launched a Voters' Comp, where you can win one of 10 x $500 cash prizes just for voting on your favorite entry. Go to www.lovethatcar.com.au to enter.

And here's a link to a new promo commercial that's running on TV now - might provide some inspiration!

Ha ha, thanks Luke you beat me to it! Here is the link to the video I just put up:

http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/thi ... omp/?e=247

I entered a pic of the Colt too but you can only vote once and the video has the Sigmas in it :). If anyone feels like supporting a fellow forum member and old Skool Mitsi fan, click the link and vote :). Hopefully we see more old cars in the competition too!

Thanks Leigh and Jase! One of the vids on there has 182 votes already and another one 162 so a long way to go! I've never been good at popularity contests! LOL. The more I think about it though the more I would love to see an older car entry make it into the top 12. Whether that was my entry or not, it could give some much needed publicity for our little Mitsi community :).

Now that is interesting Leigh! I just checked the Terms and Conditions and you are correct! Many thanks for the support :).

Nice guys, thanks! It’s a little known fact that back in the day importers of Colts also brought in Izuzu Belletts and sold them side by side. As such, over the years I’ve made contacts in the Aussie Bellett community and a while back the fastback was a guest car at the Bellett Nationals here in Adelaide. A few of the guys have spread the word so we might see some Old Skool Japanese luv from the Colts non Mitsi cousins :)

Thanks guys! I hadn't intended to make this thread all about me! :). It would be great to see some other entries from forum members, just maybe with less votes... Ha ha. I mentioned it to some peeps at work and it's spreading. I'm getting plenty of "love that car" jokes thrown my way so the slogan is certainly catching on :).
