There were only a limited number of HKS tuned Jackie Chan Starions produced so this is a pretty rare car. Also you wouldn't get a widebody starion in Australia for less than 10 to 12 grand. This is a pretty rare car in pretty good nick so the asking price isn't that far fetched, but you would only get it if you were a true collector otherwise I'd personally go for just a standard widebody instead.

That was never Jackie Chan's car, just a very limited edition to celebrate him driving a Starion in Cannonball Run II, the car in the movie was not even a widebody and pretty much looks like a black JA, lol

Still a cool and very rare car, I think the price is justified.

Okay, after some research this is what I have found.
Jackie Chan first used a Mitsubishi in Cannonball Run 2 in 1984, the black Starion. Since then he has always used Mitsi's in all his movies. In 1987 Mitsubishi presented this car to Jackie as a form of appreciation. To this day he still uses Mitsi's in his movies. Apparently they are even used as background cars parked on the street and stuff.

This is from wiki
Jackie Chan
Mitsubishi has a 30 year long association with movie star Jackie Chan, who has used their vehicles almost exclusively in his movies throughout his career.[52][53][54] The Jackie Chan Cup, first held in 1984,[55] is an annual celebrity auto race involving international motor journalists and starlets from across Asia in Mitsubishis with professional Touring Car drivers alongside for assistance, and was held before the Macau GP until 2004 when it moved to Shanghai.[56] In September 2005 Ralliart, Mitsubishi's motorsport arm, produced 50 Jackie Chan Special Edition versions of the Lancer Evo IX; Chan acts as the honorary Director of Team Ralliart China.[57][58]
If it is true or not I think a factory approved HKS modded car is gotta be worth the money, pretty rare car.

^^ Funny stuff and cool to see the ol' Stazza :)
Out of interest Jackie Chan's first film was as one of the baddies Bruce Lee beat up in Fist of Fury, I am pretty sure he was also in Way of the Dragon too.

Yes the car was a black Subaru Leone.

It was (according to the movie) fully computerised with a VHS/TV system, high powered rocket that emerged from the floor of the tailgate, night vision, police radar and all sorts of weird 80' Japanese gizmo's.

The note of the car was more of a whistle....much like a turbine engine on a plane
