L200's were 4G32 and 4G52. I didn't think they got the 4G63 until the name changed to Triton? Might have been earlier.
My brother and I have both owned L200's and they were both 4G52's.

Hmm. We did get japanese built 4G52's in the early Scorpions. And weirdly, every 2 litre engine I've seen in both the 2WD and 4x4 L200 has been the 4G63 sirius engine. Somebody get to the bottom of this! The tritons were 2.6 litre 4G54's when they were first released.

GE Scorpions were only available in 2.0 the 2.6 was introduced with the GH
I am 100% positive that L200's were fitted with 4G52's

Does anyone know if there is a code for working out the engine numbers of these motors? If so, where could I find it or does anyone know what it is?

Regards Simon

No clue on size for that one. I believe that it has been restamped by the Victorian Police in 1981.

V = Victoria, 81 is the year, and the P at the end signifies a police issued number.

Engine number of M572V06582
Gives me a 1987 unleaded manual block, which is correct so all good there. Im curious though whether its from a pajero or a sigma.
I have an additional non factory stamping of DR (then under that slightly smaller stamping) D100387 - Does this mean anything?
