Roll cages in SA

Post by Billsy »

Does anyone have any hookups or reports of the various places round adelaide for getting a roll cage made. or part there of.

in particular i just want the main hoop bent up for me and ill do the rest, (have notcher, folder and TIG/MIG) but no suitable tube bender.
only making a basic half cage at this stage, with plans for full cage in future. and then will need front legs bent up aswell.

Also looking for a supplier of the appropriate CDS or CDW tube. as per the cams spec.

Walker chassis at houghton.
There is an exhaust shop on Marion road just down from Harvey Norman that does roll cages aswell. Can't think of its name though. Will look it up later.

complete exhaust - bob strawbridge.

same side as harvey norman, 11 / 798 Marion rd

he is an off road racer, so builds pretty substantial cages

I have an el cheapo bender that i use for roll cage stuff, theres a trick to using them that will give you bends as good if not better than using a big $$$ mandrel bender, draw back is its time consuming

yeah thats the type of bender ive got, i dont want to waste time with it, id rather pay someone and have it done in a flash.
only for theroll bar its easier to get someone to do it, also might save me a length of tube if i screw it up the first time.
