Post by hengagc75 »

Anyone have any tips on how to tune these or have a write up somewhere? I'm trying to do it by ear and its running quite rough :p

It's in the 4G32 workshop manual ...

Note - it's not really possible to tune a car accurately by ear ... even for expert tuners. At the very least, you need a tach and an AFR meter

If you don't have the skills or equipment to do it properly yourself, pay an expert to do it. I think you're in Melbourne ? I would highly recommend PowerPlay in Cheltenham. (Not cheap, but you get what you pay for !)

I agree with above - if you want the mixture correct you need to measure it.
But if all you want to do is Balance the 2 carbs, then ballancing by ear is, imho, a great way to do it.
At least, it works best for me.
But you need to know what you are listening to/for.
