As above. Will it fit into a72 lancer without modification?
Searched this and didn't find much about it.

Ive got a wide block astron and 5sp into my lancer with a manual tunnel, gear hole needs a fair bit of cutting, stock engine mounts, radiator space is an issue but doable

I am not sure if anyone has done this mod. In Australia, the Starions came out with a 2.0L 4G63 turbo engine. Better things to search for are some of the parts individually. The 2.6L Starion would be a turbo 4G54, and the transmission would be a KM132. All of the 4G5x Astron engines are the same physical external size. Same with the KM1xx transmissions. The revision of A73 would be what in Australia we'd call a LB Lancer. They came with a 4G3x Saturn engine, most likely a 1.4L 4G33 or 1.6L 4G32. The transmission would have been a KM119. The Starion KM132 may be a little larger than the standard A73's transmission, but may not much. The Starion came with a hydraulic clutch, so the standard clutch cable won't work, and you'll have to install a clutch master cylinder. As for the engine, the 4G54 Astron is much larger than the Saturn engines. If you look at the later A73s, the 'hatch' models, you'll see that some of them also came with 2.0L 4G52 and 2.6L 4G54. For example, my A73M 'LC Lancer', which has the same engine bay layout as the as the rest of the A73 models, has a 4G52 engine swap. The Aussie LC Lancer only came with a 4G32, but had an engine swap with a 4G52 from a Japanese version.

This is my A73M. The external size of the 4G52 is the same as a 4G54.

This is a Starion with 2.6L 4G54.

Thanks for the help
so just:
Radiator
Tunnel for gear lever
Hydraulic Clutch.
Can you change clutch to cable?
If I got the L200 selector would that save me cutting tunnel?
Is the wiring difficult?
I have a complete starion sourced and considering buying it for the running gear.

I'd allow money for a diff upgrade as well. The 2.6t will destroy the standard lancer diff in about 5 minutes flat!
