Parramatta Cruise 23/5/2010

Post by 75wagon »

Had a great day, biggest cruise yet (that I've been to).

Was a great family atmosphere at this one, and the weather held off for the whole time we were at the park.

The Newcastle end on our way at 9:00am
Image

Came across a parking lot on the freeway... There was a TOYMODS cruise on so came across a large group of Celica's also caught in the traffic

Image

It was pretty thick.

This is why? Anyone want to buy a secondhand BMW?

The full group at Parramatta Park...

Yeah today was a great day. It was good to be able to put face to names and meet a lot of people from the site and there were some very nice cars that turned up as well.

Looking forward to the next one and will try and have the LA there hopefully. Thanks Dave for organising a great event.

Thanks Dave for organizing a great day.

Excellent turnout and great to meet again some old faces from old/defunct "Colt Sporting Car Club" and "Mitsubishi Car Owners Club" (circa 1976 to 1992), and new faces from "Sigma-Galant.com"

Great photos too....................

More photos from the cruise today - a present from the passenger seat.

They're mostly from the trip down because we were too busy talking at Parramatta.

We did get some sunshine! Heaps better than yesterday.

Thanks Dave for the great pics. It was a good day. Thanks to all the Mitsu fans who came. Special mention to orange LC Lancer owner who loaned me some tools to clean gunk out of one of the carbies. Thanks as well to other members who pooled their knowledge to help rescue the "kangarooing " GTO. Later investigation found that the problem was a crack in the coil near the high tension terminal. It is all good now. :D

I'm really glad everyone had a good time.
I certainly did.
And 'cbygdt' I loved your GTO and wanted to take it home with me :P

The cruise was perfect really.
The blokes got to talk cars, the kids ran a muck, the girls got to talk kids (and everything else so I'm told), and the rain stayed away just long enough for us all to have a good time :)

I have plans for the next cruise already under way

I will think about it a little longer and post a discussion topic soon. I want to get this one underway in approximately 2 months? I think 3 months between was too long?

Will talk about this soon...

I though this almost looks like one of those quirky ads from the 80s..
So popular everyone was rushing down top the local Mitsubishi dealership to buy one, they are all over the road going in every direction!!!

I'd like to add to my previous post thank you to all the members and their families from up Newcastle way for making the effort in coming all the way down to Sydney. Their were a lot of members that came down from up that way and I think it helped in making it a great day.

I think it would be great if we could get as many Sydney members to hopefully make a trip up to Newie when there is another one up at Newcastle. I know I'll definately be up for it.

Thank you for the words of encouragement, I really appreciate them. But in the end the day, the day is made by those that put the effort into attending, without you, I would be there on my own, So thanks to all who came, I really want to thank everyone for making the effort to come along. My family loved the day, and loved spending time with all the other families there too.

These days are always a great day for me, I am a car perv from way back, and I love to see what other owners do to there cars to make them theirs. I have found that the people who attend these days are friendly and great to talk to. I may not get time to speak to everyone individually, but everyone who turns up is just as important as everybody else who attends.

I also find it interesting to see everyone's photos from the days because sometimes you see things you may have missed, or even see something in a different way.

Thanks all, next cruise topic is coming soon
