Galants are difficult because of the front. I think the best you can do is like a 6 inch wide rim or maybe 7 inch if you get the offset right, would be around +12 I believe.
You can go wider on the back though.
Has anyone fit 7 inch rims under the front guards on their galant? (without flaring panels, coilovers or other major suspension mods)
Needs GA or GB galant front cut to resurrect a GTO. Please help if you can

Here are the rims from my wagon on my old GB. The inside of these wheels sit 1 inch further out than standard.

Here is a shot with the standard rims on the back of my wagon and the hustlers on the front. The outside of the rims are 3 inches further from the hub than standard. It's not a really good photo but you get the idea. There would be enough room for 7 inch rims if you got the offset right. But to not get hassled by the cops, you would probably want to lip the front guards just a little as GA/ GB front guards are just a little smaller than GC/ GD (I only say this because the rims I have stuck out of the guard further on my GB than they do on the GC). If I ran narrower tyres (I have 205's on them) would bring them in more too (the tyres are wider than the rims). My brother runs 185's on his 14x6 minilites and they look good, but I wouldn't go smaller than that on a 6 inch rim.

Sweet link EVL076, I thought we were just about stuck with shitty ROTA wheels or importing Jap wheels. I do like the SSR meshies though, lol
