U never know, a bit of effort and they mite come up a treat :) if you have bad gutter rash, there are places that can fix them up for you, and polish them too I guess. Not sure what the cost would be tho

It's some type of textured card stuff. I got it from a trimming place called 'daleys' http://www.daleys.com.au/contact
They are pretty good and have heaps of cool stuff :) prices are good too

If your rims have gone dull but aren't beat up too bad you can use Autosol paste to polish them back up. Give them a clean up with Mr Muscle non caustic oven cleaner to remove brake pad dust and any other crap that's got onto it. Squirt it on and go over the rim with a paint brush, then rinse it off - only do one at a time. You can use a cotton cloth to apply the Autosol, rub it in then use a clean section of the cloth to buff it off. Here's a tip that will make it easier. One you've applied some of the polishing paste and start to work it in, give the area a very light squirt of tyre shine (the cheap silicon spray stuff you can get off the shelves at discount shops). This will allow you to work the paste longer before it builds up and goes hard and black. You'll get a better finish too... 8-)

So, fingers crossed I can get stuck into the car this weekend ( being a long one ).

On the to do list:

Finish modifying front seats to fit.
Fit carpet properly.
Start sorting out fuel tank and filler.
Prep engine block/ sand and polish valve cover.

I'm also thinking of modifying the pedal box to fit an LC lancer one.... I don't like how the accelerator pedal is mounted to the floor pan :(

They are probably the only things I can do without having to spend any money lol.
More pics coming!

Cheers,
Dave

If the LC is anything like the Galant it shouldn't require any mods to the pedal box. I swapped the ridiculous giant accelerator pedal that was pivoted off the floor with a suspended pedal out of a Scorpion, only needed to undo 2 screws in the firewall and swap it (the upper part of the arm needed to be bent away from the firewall but not by much - it helped with preloading the spring and ensured I got full travel on the throttle) Image
