Re: getting started on my GSR
IMO 84gksig could take a broken toaster and a discman, put them together and get it to run Windows 8. He is THE guy when it comes to the tricky stuff (when he's not sending tools flying everywhere)

Re: getting started on my GSR
You still running the original mechanical fuel pump????
You may find that the diaphragm has spit ( if the engine hasn't been running for sometime, it may have gone totally dry, turned brittle and broken once the fuel psi increased from the engine running)

Re: getting started on my GSR
got the brakes sorted on the gsr, rebuild kit to the rears plus pads hooked up the hand brake minus the internal hook up (missing some bits ), new pads and sorted out the lines on the front , filled the diff with new oil and replace fuel filters, a good days work

Re: getting started on my GSR
thats pretty damn good effort if you ask me, how much did the rebuild kit for the rear calipers set you back?

Re: getting started on my GSR
the sig is aliveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, sorted out the carby combination or things but i had a blocked needle and seat to start with, took that out cleaned it , put it back together still didnt work and spent the last few weekends trying to adjust the level but no dice.
Took the bowl off last night had a close look at the brass float and noticed it was bent, (probably from over tightening the needle) took the float out then noticed it was full of fuel, so a new float and needle later she idles like a dream. might just get it finished in time for my wedcding

Re: getting started on my GSR
well i took the gsr for a belt down the street and for a car than hasnt had a tune i must say im one happy chappy, it pulls hard and smooth, the holley blue fuel pump is noisy as might have to put some softer mounts on it i think, time to put the thing back together and fix up a little wiring

i found that padding my fuel pump in soft foam that you get in most electronics boxes worked a treat for making my 044 pump quiet
