While dicking about in the shed tonight I have decided the guard mounted indicators are staying on my new front guards.

It's different. What car is it in?
Firewall has gone and the inner guards look GM but the plastic plenum and late model headlights through a spanner in the works.

I don't have a big problem with the re-routing of the coolant pipes for a RWD set up - BUT they're meant to be coolant pipes not heater pipes! Alloy piping that close to the extractors? The pic makes it look like the lower coolant pipe is literally sitting on #2 exhaust runner. And the power steering pump should at least have some heat shielding too...

Can't find a bloody pic now but it think  that is where they were on the GTO's and it is a perfect fit for the flat panel there, lines up sweet :)

They look different to the GTO 5 Speed badges from over here. I have a collection of badges downstairs. I will try to find and post later.

Can't seem to find them but wouldn't have thought that I would throw them out. Here are some that may be of use to members.

Scorpion diff painted up and fitted.

Did you really expect it to be anything other than red and white??

As you can see a stock width Scorpion diff is fine under a hardtop, even with my 15x8 +0's fitted with 205/50 15's

All I need now it the reset springs to lower it about 50-60mm and my limited slip center, which will also need to be painted, maybe red, lol.

I agree. The 5 speed badges that I've seen on GTO's are bigger and sit to the right of the left hand tail light. Maybe the badge is off an earlier A53C GTO which weren't sold in NZ.

To be honest I think it looks better than the 5 speed badges that I've seen on GTO's.

Obviously you had to fabricate spring mounts to fit this, how does your engineer feel about this? Also, how are you going to hook up the handbrake?

I remember reading from other posts that disc rear ends in Galants can be a little grabby, but nothing that some form of bias adjustment wont fix.

Engineer, BAHAHAHAHA you eastern staters make me laugh.
Handbrake from a GH is meant to fit straight onto the Galant handbrake.
I was thinking about changing the brake master with a 4 wheels disc master but may still need a bias.

We used the Scorpion cables for the handbrake and they work fine.

Scorpion or Starion master cylinders do the job nicely for the disc brake conversion and bolt straight onto the booster.

I see the front section of your leaf spring have that lovely wave shape they form from a bit of axle tramp. I used to be able to get an inch gap between the leaf with my old LA. Solved all the drama's when we linked the rear end.

Yeah, the springs have seen better days. Now having more power and more grip than it has ever had will be interesting, lol.
I will be getting new ones made by Industrial Engineers & Springmakers here in SA, they will also be stiffer and lower :D http://www.industrialsprings.com.au/contact.htm
I am interested in switching to a linked system like you did but it is a little outside my skill set and I don't have the cash at the moment to give it to someone and say "here, do this now"

I am selling the Hal-tech because it doesn't like aftermarket cam/crank sensors, I won't cut the firewall and front mounts are ugly, lol. So I have got a Wolf 3D so I can now run a crank pulley mounted trigger wheel.

Also, I got my JDM front valance in the mail this week

and have a tidy GC front bar on the way. So once I get the front panels all painted up and the plain front bar on it should be finished, should be :P
