Thanks guys, you should see the tail lights in the flesh, very sexy.
84GKSIG had a coil at his place I grabbed last night so will get into that shortly, but will still need to head out to UPI when they open at 10 and jaycar when they open at 11, lol
I also need a fuel cut out soliniod for the fuel pump and a few other bits and pieces so will be a busy day.
I am away all next weekend so fingers crossed it will makes it's debut on the weekend of the 26/27th. Although if it is running I am sure it might make a few un offical runs once the tailshaft gets done :P
Dave;
I think after all these years with no avatar we have found one for SS

24 pages, nearly 700 replys and 20,000 views and this thread is nearly done, LMAO

Thanks again for yesterday guys and thanks for the possitive comments on here hope I will be back later today with a video.

After this I had a fiddle with the carbies and warmed it up properly and got it running very smooth off the choke and man it revs clean and crisp.
Should be drivable by the weekend, but as I said I will be away all weekend so will have to wait until the 26th-27th for a debut drive.

Scored a reduction drive starter motor today, found it hiding at UPI in a GL Scorpion Auto, even had a rebuild sticker from 21/01/2011 so should be all good
Grabbed a TP Efi Magna accelerator cable too, got them both for $50, bargain.

Went to the auto parts shop next door and grabbed a universal accelerator cable, universal choke cable some degreaser and gasket goo.

Just about to head out to cell-tech to grab a 660cca big mother of a battery to cope with the compression. All this should keep me busy for the resy of the weekend

Much smoother and crisp when warmed up, little bit more tuning needed still, but I am happy.

I am pretty sure it was 84GKSIG that made the cartoon cars for us.

Okay, so I can't stop fiddling with it now, lol
Bit more of a tune and now fitted new starter motor.

Here is the pic you were after of the Scorp diff handbrake cable for the GE an GH. The later scorps used 2 separate cables all the way from the handbrake leaver.

Cheers.

Cheers for that SS, the hunt is on for a GE/H cable. By the looks of it I should just need the diff assembly and use the Galant cable from there to the hand brake.

Well the hardtop moved under it's own power today

Had a minor issue while bleeding the brakes though. The front bled up perfectly but the rear locked on after bleeding. I managed to crawl out from under it in the pit, much to my Wife's amusement, and got it to move under power and it has freed up a little but is still tight.
Has anyone had this happen before when fitting a disc brake diff to a drum brake diff car?

First run :)

Brakes are still tight?

Gave it a quick squirt on my way back up the street and it kicked out, unfortunately Wife thought she was filming but apparently wasn't :(

Yeah, because of the pit I can't get down that side of the car when it is in the shed. Now that it is mobile I will finish polishing it and place the stripe on that side too
