Yeah it is going good not bad for only a month work....(hard work) the motor is stock just was rebuilt bout 6 burnout comps ago so its been well used i had a motor with nitrous cam and head work before but it seems to be better left standard and in this sigma with only the 75hp shot of nitrous will be more then enough to sit in top gear on the limiter but once the conversion is all sorted out i may drop in the supercharged v6 which at the moment we a trying in another car also running nitrous and 17psi boost upgrade.....then this sigma will be fun :D but that is for the future....

Crossmember still didnt fit i had to modify it :banh:

Exhaust is finished its and dual 2 an ahalf inch system dumping just in front of the tyres to blow the smoke out but far enough in so you cant see it and a small dummy tail pipe at rear to keep up the sleeper look!!!!, tailshaft is finished and bolted up fits nice and also the diff has been welded hope standard diff last for now.....(will have some more pics up soon)

Did you have to modify the transmission tunnel to fit the auto
gearbox in?

Had to only tap the drivers side in a little bit because didnt clear the side servo of the auto, just tapped it in abit with hammer....i heard it needed alot of modifying in the tunnel before i started but just dropped straight in

the sigma is nearly finished put the fuel pump and lines in and turned the key.....only problem i had was commodore ignition barrel wasnt earthed to the colum....after a short sandpaper fixed that problem hit the key again and it started and idle prefect exhaust sounds crazy...looks like i got it all right :D just gotta finish shifter and ready to drive and smash some tyres!!!!!

When you put a diff in, you might be able to squeeze a early commodore diff in without shortening it(im sure they are the narrower ones, vl maybe)... the sigma rear ends are wider than you think, just depends on what tyres an rims you want to fit.

Just drove the sigma down the street for the first time.....feels funny to drive with the noise it makes sounds crazy...hit the throttle and it lit the tyres up no worrys and still no nos yet it is going to be crazy :D hopefully race it just after christmas and hope to try it out on the burnout pad at heathcote cant wait....will put vids up as soon as i take it out...completly finished in three months not bad for a full conversion

R31 used the same BW centre as VL and many others

R31 LSD measures 1460mm face to face
Series 3 TRX Bluebirds also use the same LS centre and are only 1430
Depending on the offset of the wheels you want to run you might get away with these?

Both these diffs use 29 spline axles and are renouned for strength in little cars.

Just offering another option.
