That car looks like it was a pretty tidy one before you started?
Is this one going to be a burnout car too?
Is the TE Cortina wagon in the background your old burnout car?

Well i think different i have run a vt v6(ecotech) in my vs for 2 years have done prob 10 burnout comps and i hold this thing in top gear on the rev limiter for around 2mins at a time sometime longer while using nitrous (running 100hp shot) , i have heat seized this engine three times and still runs fine if thats not a strong engine den i dont know what is!!!!

I too have an ecotec going in my sigma and not a huge fan of that motor
i would have preferred the 1ufze but couldn't justify the extra expense when the ecotec conversion is an off the shelf buy.

Parts for that motor are as cheap as chips and available in every wreckers where bogans reside ... Australia wide

funny stuff ,
i dont care wat any one thinks , each to there own but holden motor,s are a ticking time bomb the only good indestructible motors are the 202 or the 186 lol , but why do u think so many are in the wreckers 4 ?, i have seen VPs VS VR VP VT on ebay 4 sale 4 200 bucks or 600 or ORO lol , one thing they all have in common engine dose not start common commahore problem ,a fine example my mate got one 4 1500$ thou another mate of mine bad mistake, VS commy fine body expt the engine ,worked fine 4 a few days till the engine started making this knocking sound guessing it was a engine bearing ether way car cant go 1 block with out making a deafing knocking sound , now its sitting at the shop the guy wants 1 grand just to work on it i wouldn't blame him , and as for the seris 2 engine in the vt , it is alright motor as long as you knw it hasnt been thrashed them motors are getting old now , m8 had one chiped nice exhaust system ,and lowered springs went like the clappers ,also the super charged model pretty quick to but sucks alot of petrel thou..point bean every early late 80s to late 90s holdens i have seen have had problems . half the time cheap to fix but id rather reliability ..

Being a mechanic and engine builder building v6s with big horsepower for last 7 years and using dem for burnout comps have seen some strong v6 engines compared to alot of other engines I've seen not take the punishment I think u an ur mAtes have just had bad luck with the v6.... but knowing bout cars and engines helps alot when buyin or building one I must admit I have blown a heap up but I've distroyed them never blown one driving to milkbar!!!!

no a month or so off.... i have a make a range rover reliable first  so I've got a daily driver.
I have everything ready to go, but then realised I'd need to have another form of transport whilst this build takes place cause its not just drop the motor in, I'm going to try and graft a commo steering rack in it and narrowed commo diff.

so what would you consider to be a reliable swap ??

Good mate of mine has a torana with a 308 its making about 650hp n/a and will take a 300hp shot of nitrous

This engine has done heaps of mid 8 second passed in another car getting 300hp shots of nitrous smashed into it run after run after run and it has never failed

saying that all holden engines are ticking time bombs is like saying every Muslim is a suicidal Allah loving terrorist , its just dumb and totally wrong

all std engines are garbage and all have the potential to be extremely good

Just sent my crossmember back found out they dont have a crossmember to suit my sigma and had to send the sigma crossmember so they can make one.......you would think a sigma conversion kit will fit a sigma :banh: but i seem to have a different body then any other sigma so they tell me they have never seen a cross member like mine!!!!! my december deadline is getting closer.......

haha, nice one.

i assume the commo needs the cluster to run in that case, id have thought you could isolate what ever is inside it and not have to use it

yeah because its a vs and im using the complete wiring when i had the cluster out of my burnout car it goes into limp mode and i could just pay 600 or so dollars to remove dat and the body control module but its neat and hidden away give the passenger something to watch during the burnout :D , with the vn commodore you only need a engine light wired up and a alternator light wired up(alternator doesnt charge without complete circuit) but the vs i dont know what it is just hunts for idle and mine didnt shift gears right when it was out so easy to just leave it in and cheaper....
