pushie?? what part of the car is that dave?

Pushie as in Push bike, treadly, or bicycle or whatever you want to call them, and just for the record it's not a part of a car. But it is small in size and a good size to start learning to spray paint and learn gun control. Pipework is very difficult to spray paint. It's difficult to obtain even finish with no orange peel or runs, so it's a perfect place for someone learning to spray to start. Plus it doesn't require much paint so it's cheap too.

cheers for that dave i grew up on a push bike and learnt to paint them good given me a boost to start learning on a car

you'll be surprised at half the fine's i coped back in the day one was a unroadworthy bike!!! but yer its done good the past 2 yrs and not 1 fine

I got fined for an unroadworthy pushie as well, cops don't take kindly to impact fractures in the welds at the base of the steering head

here are more pics of the car parts being hi filled :
front and back bars have been smoothed,plastic primed then hi filled....

the boot complete and ready for wet sand and paint..

all the moulds have been smoothed,plastic primed and hi filled...

mirrors have been smoothed,plastic primed and hi filled..


Now all thats left is the bottom metal stone tray,bonnet and the shell....not long now!!

Yeah he loves it!

Yeah still got the SS rims, i only changed the wheels cos i got bogged and flat tyred it! Also ripped part of the tow bar off trying to tow an engine out of another sigma bahahaha! Oh and rear bumper got ripped off its pretty much just sorta stuck on i guess

trans is in bad condition, it sometimes doesnt wanna change up when on the highway, only when in 'Power' mode (doesnt do it in economy)

Overall its taken a lot of abuse and has held up pretty well

nah buds the shell and bonnet are getting hi filled on saturday.hopefully should have the car painted next weekend..see what happens?

had to drive to the end of the world again today to pick up a genuine ford xe esp that my mate bought..

yeah dave,i know ive done most of the work myself and black,you would see all the filler work(hopefully not),ripples etc but it would have been harder and more time consuming if changed colour..its staying black but im also colour codeing all the moulds,mirrors and plastic bars,matte blacking all the window moulds,grille,lower grille,door handels,wiper arms etc and sting red on the mould striping all around the car..should look ok and different to all other GSR's.

i hi filled the rest of the car today,but wasnt happy with the bonnet,as it needed more prep work on some hi spots.

ill post some pics up tonight as im going to be wet rubbing all the small parts first before i tackle the body and bigger panels.
i think ill have trouble blocking everything back as everyone says theres a special way to do it ?? ill give it a go never the less...

My tip: Rub in straight lines and following the length of the car. DON"T RUB IN CIRCLES.
Rubbing in circles creates round scratches and can be seen when you buff the car when the paint job when it's completed.

cheers buds.as of this week im devoting on working everynight on the car till she is ready for the final coat.
its bloody taking its toll but i have to get this car back on the road,its been too long.
ill try put pics up of the progress from yesterday and tonight,but i will look like not much is getting done as im wet rubbing all the parts that have been primed/hifilled.
