Well this is the reason why i have not progressed so far on the Sigma.
Bar all the stuff i have been buying and aquiring for it i have decided to put this in the car...
And yes Dad, Benny and I had fun doing this and the looks and comments people gave us were awsome.
The whole IRS setup will be going in the Sigma

We took the whole rear end to reference for mounting points for the tops of the strut's. Looking at the Sigma body all the holes appear to be in the body but with no nut's welded in behind them. and the inner wheel arch needs to be modified for the rear struts.

After looking at a Jap Spec Sigma the other night for reference as to how it is different to an Aus Spec one i now know what i need to do/transfer over from the Starion shell.

Will be trying to switch the Starion diff centre out for a Commodore or Falcon LSD centre.

Some of the other parts i have aquired for the Sigma are:
Crow Cam - Lumpy Turbo Grind
New Microtech LT10s with 4coil setup
S13 SR20 Alloy Radiator (same as turbogj260)
New 600x300x76 Intercooler
Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator
Race Harness (show use only)

Why change the starion centre though? They are a damn good centre and you can easily get more from the states. I would have thought the Commo/Falc stuff would be cheap and nasty in comparison?
Havn't really looked into the centre's much at the moment. Waiting till i get the cradle into the car first. Depends what ratio's they have available as want something aroung 3.7/3.9:1 and LSD. Just thought commy/falcon would be easy to get parts for if i needed them.
The Starion centre/IRS setup is from a JA Starion with a ratio of 3.5:1 and its an open wheeler.

Well i think i have everything for her now... its run out of rego and think it’s time to get stuck into her in about a month once the car shows die off.

Microtech LT10S and 4coil setup, Intercooler, Fuel pressure regulator, Lumpy cam (turbo grind), Adjustable cam gear, Head studs, TR/S inlet manifold, Starion IRS, Commy IRS centre, Modified bonnet (getting done, pix when i get it), Elante side skirts, Boot spoiler, Shell (thanks billsy), Fender’s, front panel’s and 3 good condition doors (need rear passenger)

So finish the radiator support panel and rear parcel shelf install mess around and put the Starion IRS in. prep the body for paint, remove everything from the other car and put in the new one. Sounds simple enough when you put it like that, but I know it won’t be.
Also the motor will get a freshen up and slight modifications to it.
170kw at 10psi was a good starting point… let’s see what potential it has hidden away.

man, i thought i was adventurous putting nissan IRS in.
i looked at this and thought that the nissan would be easier than what your doing, plus more aftermarket options and adjustability for track use.
this is something abit unusual. what did they say at UPI when you walked out with half a car? lol

Great build mate! some industrious and adventurous touches! very keen to see how it performs as a package!

Did any of the foreign sigma bodied cars have IRS??

Bonnet looking good (reminiscent of SIgmatron too ;-) )

Yep, the Jap spec Sigma's were pretty much a Sigma body with Starion running gear.

lookin like its still sitting on the floor of my shed. nothing else has been done with this, at this stage due to getting a few other cars going. got all the material there to make up the gig to get it all happening, just not the time at the moment. once i get these other projects out of the way, i will get stuck back into it.
