yeah. sorry. wrong bit :)

here it is. now is it number 1 or number 2 your trying to get off? cos number 2 should be the bashing way like i described. and number 2. . . when i did my swap, i left that on the steering thing and swapped the whole thing with pitman arm. how this helps. . .

i'd do the same with number 1 too. bash it to break the seal. take the nut off first of corse. which i assume you did cos you said there is nothing holding it on :) it needs a REAL hard bash though. not pussy footing about. get in there and hit it like it was a nazi terrorist that broke into your girlfriends place hahaha

OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT"S DONE! Took me all bloody day, but it's done :D
I stuck a jack under the nut on the bottom of the box and bashed at it with a punch and a 2lb hammer. Popped off like a champagne cork :D
Now to drop the manual box in, attach the column and hook it all up before I get eaten by the mozzies and grasshoppers

I can't see anymore, so I came inside lol
The bolts holding the steering column in won't line up, whoever put that gay peice of tin in the way needs to be shot :@
It looks like GH column mount plates are somewhat larger than GJ ones, which is a PITA.
I have it booked in for a blueslip at Dad's rego guy's shop tomorrow morning, here's hoping I can get the column in and tyres on in time lol
Hopefully he'll overlook the ridiculously loud exhaust, the lack of a grille and the patches of primer on the bonnet and RHF guard.. The exhaust shouldn't be a problem 'coz I can get a brand spankers stock tailpipe at the wreckers for ~$40, and I'll pick up a Sigma grille while I'm at it, see if it fits
I got another surprise today. Apparently you can't get 6 months rego if you need a blueslip, you have to rego it for the full 12 months. Which is gay.
I have to get a greenslip tomorrow as well, hopefully that will come through quickly so I can register this bitch and cruuuuuuuuuuise lol

Lol
I never went to sleep :P
I'll get pics of the challengers soon. A guy on AE86DC is selling them
AE86DC tends to be good for wide, low offset wheels, there's a pair of brand spankers 14x9 -29 SSR meshies on there at the moment that I'd like, but they're something like $850
that bloody car managed to smash my watch :( Luckily one of my friends is an apprentice jeweller, I'll get her to fix it :P

Dedicated? Me? I was playing Xbox :P
Yar, it's done. took it for a blueslip this morning.
Anywho, it didn't fail on anything I didn't expect it to. Muffler, locker and no grille, all easy fixes, but I'm seriously thinking that it's an excuse to drop the motor and gearbox into my white GE, which has an open diff (3.9ish, but it's only an 8-bolt), stock exhaust and a grille, but it's got a fucked dash and a crack in the windscreen to so yeah
It'd be piss easy (it'd take maybe half a day) but it'd be just as easy (and cheaper) to fix what's wrong with this one
Hmm, prettier car or cheaper car. I might go cheaper for now lol
Anyone know if the centre and pinion from a GH 10-bolt will bolt straight into a GJ housing?

The GH 10 bolt centre will fit a GJ housing. There is a slight difference where the tailshaft bolts up. The bolts are a different diameter. You may have to open then holes up slightly to fit the bigger bolts.

Got a pair of 185/60R14 RE001's (for nothing off a mate) as well, but they can sit in the shed until I get some 7's

I put the springs I bought off 13bsigma in the back, and it's now sitting maybe 30mm lower, which is surprising considering they're GE-GH springs and aren't captive when the car's jacked up :P
I used the top spring rubber from my parts car to centre them and it works fine. Feels funny with the stiffer rear and soggy front, but I have some front springs here. Just have to find some spring compressors

Leaky heater and homo annoying wobbles above 110. Gay.
I went to forbes and got stuck. I burned my arm by taking the radiator cap off to fill it up 'coz it was getting very, very warm. And empty.
I came back with rum and a ban from three different supermarkets for a total of nine months for being stupid, so good times were had and that sort of balanced it out.

It shat itself today. It runs ok, but only when it wants to start, which is a bit dicey because it rarely wants to. It sounds sort of off-beat when it's turning over, too.
It also has diesely rattling noises under load at low revs, which leads me to think that it's farked.
