Personally, I have 2 MOOKEEH Mk2 short shifters and they are great..

It was quite different to when I drove my Triton for the first time, getting used to the standard gearstick.

Just have to change the diff ratio from 5.1:1 to 3.9:1 to make it a bit more usable, along with a set of 17" rims...

Cheers.

Yeah there pretty good I reckon. Did u get urs of eBay 2?
I'm spewing I should of got mine ages ago when our dollar
Was heaps better than the U.S. but didn't have
Spare cash then.

I don't really understand diff or compression ratios
They both go over my head haha

Just out of interest how do the bigger rims help?

Thanks

ended up getting the surge tank, and fuel pump off A112H, and lots of fittings etc. Thanks again
Image

this is my boot at the moment lol
Image
where im thinking of mounting it
Image

this set up at the moment
Image
goes through Z153 filter then into the pump
Image
anyone know what pump this is? no number on it what so ever and quite smaller than the bosch
is it the standard magna one?

this is the one got with the surge tank
Image
Bosch 0 580 254 910 rated 130psi per hour,10A current
have no idea what the other one is rated at, no markings on it.
Is too much pressure bad? and will the z153 fuel filter b upto it also? bearing in mind running standard tr magna set up at the moment.

also yesterday got some extra fitting + hose, cos the fittings on top of fuel tank are all 6mm
apart from one 8mm one, got 8mm hose hopefully can get it tight enough on the 6mm tank fittings
Image

also have noticed when they did my efi conversion. in the sigma manual looks like the 8mm pipe is
the return hose, which they are using as the supply hose, will this cause problems? suppose there both going to tank though
guess they wanted to use the bigger line.

went to wreckers today was after something for other cars
but came across mint TR Magna rocker cover.
thought i d grab it, wont take much prep to paint up cos is fairly clean
Image
Image
Image
and spent a bit on paint
primer, anodized red (to match the oil cap hopefully), and a gloss clear coat
Image
also my haltech was missing the sensors :/... air temp and map sensor so grabbed some them of another car
hopefully have some sparetime to install it soon.
and hopefully some nice sunny weekend to do the rocker cover too, which is a bit hard this time
of year.

back in 2009 when did the brakes, noticed the rear rotor was nearly at max tolerance
so ordered some new slotted rotors for the rear, plus the hand brake don't work to well only on last click
so maybe the inner drum part is quite worn too. hopefully this will help if not looks like need new shoes for the handbrake part.

Image
Image
Image
Image

only prob is different slot type to what i put on the front
think the fronts were protex for memory, not dba
i hate things that dont match. oh well least you cant see the brakes with the standard rims :/
none the less pretty sexc brakes IMO

Thought id at least finish the brakes, till work out where next for the engine.

Yeah spose to be direct bolt on, I think will check
On weekend if fits. Part no dba207s. Had to wait few
Weeks so they prob had to make em up. Were round $150 ea
Centre is painted black, looked in there brochure can get
The centers painted gold also I think. And apparently
Can get ones that have thermo things that change
Colour at diff temp hehe.

Some dudes gsr was looking at. that had vr4 in it was running some kind
Of Volvo brakes. Guess the standards weren't good enough to stop it.
Was a moded vr4 engine I think. But ur prob still making more kw than it.
wish I knew what Volvo though, I'd assume would be
A bolt on upgrade but don't know for sure. Wish it was as easy as a cordia
Vr4 twin pot calipers bolt straight on to them. Those calipers stop good.

went to wreckers today

they actually had an 84 GK GSR, spoiler gone already , most panels on it were fair rusty in panels
grabbed the front bit above the front grille.

but did find a GN with decent passenger gaurd, well straight atleast
and grabbed some front bits from that too
just need to find straight bumper, then its time to get them painted and matched to the rest of the car
to make the car look decent again.

haven't done alot lately, been spending time with the other car alot more
but since wasn't raining today, decided to put the new dba t2 slotted rotors on the rear

Started with passenger side
Image
Image
removed the old rotor (bit scored)
Image
Image

cleaned the rust of the hub
Image

old rotor measured approx 9mm think the min is 8.8mm, so not far of being shagged
Image

new one is approx 10.5mm
Image

put the new disc on and caliper back on(thought I'd take a nice pic of it before it goes rusty)
Image

then did the other side
Image

brakes feel a lot better now, even at idle when i have no brake booster cos of the rough cam

but unfortunately the handbrake is still no good
dunno if i need new shoes maybe??

measures bout 6mm including the metal part of the shoe
Image

but bout 3mm of that is pad
Image

anyone know the minimum tolerance for the handbrake shoes?thanks

So with the other car I've been working on
Been having probs with idle. I suspected
The isc motor on bottom of throttle body.

I compared it with the sigs tr efi setup and
Looks the same from outside. But when I metered
The sigs one to compare it with the other car's one. found one coil was open.
so pulled the old faulty one out
Image
Image
cleaned the hole out a bit
Image
cleaned up the one from wreckers
Image
Image
whacked it in
Image

Few others I measured at wreckers we're open on one coil also
Must be a common prob. Oh well hope it fixes
A few of my idle issues on the sig.
