A few updates, sourced a rear louvre via tre04z.

Now to get it down to Melb.
Wetherill Park to me is easy, Blacktown to Wetherill Park will be a challenge!

Found the correct wheel nut's for the car and to suit the mags.

Image

.... and since I had a few hours to myself, I took the wipers back to bare metal and painted them Black like a R/T would be.
While I was at it, I replaced the whole wiper head rather than just the blades.

Not the most productive day but wirebrushed the wipers back to bare metal and hit them with a few coats of matte black.
Also replaced the whole heads with new ones as apposed to just new blade refills.

I was also able to find the correct wheel nuts to suit the car and wheels!

Look what was dropped off Sunday arvo....

Image

I had a little time to myself on Sunday, so after flooding the replacement handbrake cables I scored with WD40, I thought I fit them.

Just as I was about to run the jack under the rear of the car, I decided to take my watch off. It was 12:30pm.
I jacked up the car
Placed the stands under the axles
Pulled the two rear wheels off
Disconnected the handbrake lines from the drums
Pulled both handbrake lines from the car
Fitted both replacement handbrake lines
Fitted both rear wheels
Jacked up car again to remove the stands and dropped it back down.
Washed my hands and put my watch back on.
It was now 1:02pm
WTF!!!
I wasn't even having a crack or prepped all the tools before I started!

If this was The Pig, it would have taken all afternoon, I would have broken something, destroyed atleast 1 knuckle and it still wouldn't be 100%

All my mates that have known the Pig over the years and been present when random crap just doesn't work as planned, are dumbfounded at the simplicity of each task associated with Mini Mopar!!

oh how i'd love to be a fly on the wall when he finds out what its for lol

In all honesty though, are you using the bonnet as a stensil for the blackouts?
or are you chopping up the bonnet for its scoop etc

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking..

The bonnet and cowl panel will be Black, the scoop will be fitted on the passenger side of the bonnet.

sorry, i was trying to ask

Were you planning on chopping up the original charger bonnet to fit Mini Mopar? or

Were you just purchasing the bonnet so you can copy the design onto the bonnet of Mini Mopar?

Regarding the bonnet, it'll have a strip of Silver in the centre, rest painted Black with the scoop screwed to the bonnet.
Leaving the Lancer bonnet on.

The financial controller has ripped up the handbrake regarding the paint job at this stage :banh:

But with The Pig still being at a workshop getting a few things done, like a T5 conversion, the spending has to somewhat curb.

Will still be sending off Mini Mopar for a RWC check when the Pig is done and any/all repairs have a green light, as well as all the associated costs with throwing it onto Club reg.

NB: Clips for rear louver went MIA and had to wait for the supplier to have Aussie Post run and investigation before paypal could come to the party... New ones left today!

Car's looking good, loving the theme....... Though I'm not totally convinced with the 265 stickers.......I think ur going to get sick to death of people asking u if it actually has a 265 in it tbh.......but like I said...I'm loving the theme and the stickers do suit that theme perfectly

Mini Mopar got chucked on the front lawn today and will be moved to the back yard on the weekend.
ALL progress I think will cease as The Pig was picked up and the bill just knocked everything way out of whack.

Won't even get a RWC and bang it onto club reg for a while yet. Standard reg expires September :(

On the upside, the guy at the workshop who done The Pig was laughing at how much it now lights up the rear tyres!

The think the 4:11's may be a bit much for the short gears in the T5....

(For the guy's who may also have an interest in V8's, a 4V Clevo just loves to rev, so when the engine want's to rev and you let it  )

Just sold The Pig (WTF)
and Mini Mopar is in getting a RWC.
Of course they knock the strut mounts and NO ONE makes them anymore...

Have bought the K-Mac Camber and Castor kit ($400) as a $40 rubber one is no longer available.

Didn't help with this forum being down this week!

Also having trouble finding a windscreen as mine has a small crack that can't be repaired!!!

Windscreens are readily available so don't know why you would have any trouble.
I believe they are made up here in QLD if new stock needs to be made!

The windscreen was a surprise , one of the easiest things l had to find .
Rang a small husband and wife type business in the morning and l think fitted in that afternoon .
I think $170 comes to mind , about 3yrs ago.

I seen the mob in QLD who sell them them and say "Fast Way" don't freight them???
I work for TNT and we transport "Fast Ways" interstate freight?!
We also ship pallet loads of windscreens each day, including all glass for Nissan, Toyota, Ford, Nissan BMW and John Deere!

The mob in QLD have a distributor/Warehouse 20 mins from my place.
So, windscreen will be picked up today.
K Mac Strut tops arrived express post yesterday and everything but the gearbox mount is now ready to be fitted.
Found a mob in Wagga Wagga who say they have the mount on the shelf but when he tried to attach a pic to confirm, it didn't work...
Hopefully when I call them today, he can send the pic to my phone.
If it's the one I need, I'll get it sent express postage and then Mini Mopar can have it's legit RWC done by the end of the week.

Bonus as the rego runs out next week!

Then onto club reg and sit waiting for the paint job.

Still undecided on engine as side draft carbs will some what resemble a Charger engine bay but I don't like how close to the shock tower the carbs are.
Down draft look cool but "Teaser's" V6 looks like a V8 and I'd do a 340 cui air cleaner!!

So why not look at putting a v6 into it like the one you like , its been done
Or I reckon and 4g63 twincam with webers and a msd would look right in the engine bay if done well
