awesome. might be a bit of extra work but since you are already making a custom tray why dont you relocate the battery to some form of compartment underneath the tray???

Lose a leaf and a couple of coils and she'll be rad! love L200's I've had 2 MK2's one on hyros and another just dropped on some Shogun rims with a little stretch.

Good luck, can't wait to see the fruits

Haha! I'd prefer to buy proper lowered springs. And get the leafs reset to match the front. Gas shocks, and that should cover it. 16x10 -44 on the rears, and 16x8 -whatever they have the lowest offset. Maybe -22? 225/50 up front, and a 245/45 on the rears. Might go down a size yet? (205/45 - 225/50).

Either way, I'm having fun :P

A small update. My plenum will be sent today!! Should get it tomorrow!! :D then I can make that bit shiney! :D

So... I've been thinking about all different rim styles lately. (Seeing as I haven't bought any yet, may as well see what styles are out there before I "take a leap").

There is a few styles I like. I started with d shapes.. Then now I'm doubting I'll like em.

So I've been looking at other rims like those 4 spoke work equips and such.

I'm after a steel rim, so if I need to, I can widen them :)

There's 2 I'm looking at now, that... I like so much, I might buy both! Lol (they're second hand ones that need a clean up!) :)

These, 6 spoke steelies :)
Image

And these... Umm... Lots-a-spoke ones :P
Image

I'm wanting 16x10 -30 at least for the rears! And same size but -20 for the fronts.. But I'm may go 15s.. And might go 15x8 up front. Either polish the lip, or paint it black or white.. And paint the centre bright! Red, pink, something like that. Or reverse them. Bright lip and black centre :)

Can anyone else give me some ideas in the general theme :)

No real progress here as of yet... Just a waiting game whilst the panel guy clears room in his shed!

I'm really considering putting a ge front on it.. I like the idea more and more each time I think of it :P

Anyway. Once it comes back from the shop.. It will be the inside that gets started on..

Seeing as I'm going the whole rough jdm look.. I will do the likes inside.
I'm thinking; checker plate door cards, rising sun roof lining, red fixed back bride lowmax replicas,
Deep dish steering wheel (most likely the ones found in scorpions.. 2 spokes with the padded horn),
And because I liked how it looks.. I'm gonna have to pink fluff something?? :P

Under the bonnet for visual. I'll be sticker bombing the shaped inserts under the bonnet, and getting the rocker cover painted with some kind of flake paint.

After that.. I guess it's on to the tray.. I'll need to work out measurements of the -30 10" rims so the tray will fit over the rims..

Meanwhile! I'm just gathering cheap little bits that will add to the appearance :) and tossing up the ge front??

Decisions decisions :P

I think your "Lots-a-spoke" wheels are called 'Marina's' from memory......these were quite a common wheel in the GT 12 Slotter days (were on my dad's XR Falcon)

Haha yea... Not really.

I think it will end up its own style? :wut:

Heavily influenced by the jdm style and partly influenced by the rat rod look.. Which, will end up looking like a rough built jdm mini truck thing :P

Haha yea I'd love to somehow do a strut conversion! Instead of the upper and lower control arms and all that. It's a 10 bolt diff so just scorp internals would change it to 4x114.3. But it's the front that's the pain

:P not really.. I have to cut the inner guard, weld in a strut tower and reinforce the area.. I suppose, I could just drill holes and bolt it all on. Instead of weld? :P

75glnt, i know u r looking at GE sigma front end or other options but you know, if you keep the chrome headlight rings and black out the grill, while retaining the top and bottom silver strip then it will look almost there and without all the headaches. See photochop below.
(I've also added ZG flares, wheels with red centres, lowered..)
Image
L200 front bar already similar to GE one but if a GE one fits, it may complete the GE look.
