Andrew's GC Galant soon to be 4G63t project

Post by ssive »

Hi all, posted up in the wrong section - so i thought i would add this here for updates etc.

To start off with
Purchased it off a mate quite cheap as he needed it moved ASAP. It was painted about 10-11 years ago in ford AU blue with a purple pearl put thru it.
Didnt really know what i was going to do with it, so opted for the easy option - skid car - so i aquired a vn v6 as a donor and was set to go down that path.
Then i was offered a Turbo GSR Sigma (technically Galant i believe) at a very reasonable price so i have decided to treat the car a bit nicer. Still not 100% if its going to be attempted for licensing, or just a track car.

As i got the car its probably 80% complete. missing seats, front bumper, carpets etc. However did come with a few spares.
Heres a couple of pics of it... Im sure ill be frequent on here alot more with questions and updates etc.
Cheers,
Andrew

Small update.

Painted the front end flat black, will re-do it again properly now im happy with the colour, and dummied up where the cooler will be.

Also thru on my clear headlights to see what she is going to look like.

Will start stripping the sigma this weekend, cant wait to get it running.

Purchased a back seat for it, its a bit average, but something is better then nothing.
Ill add more pics etc as i go along!

Cheers

Stripped the sigma today and got the motor and box sitting in the bay of the Galant. Cant believe how well and easy everything sits in there!

Its as if they were going to do it from factory ha ha.

Ill get some pics tomorrow and find a better way of sharing them!

The only issue ive come across so far is the pipe out the back of the turbo, wont bolt on because of the booster.
Turbo is VERY close to the master cylinder and will cause issues if i was to run it that way.

I think im going to have to run a remote booster unfortunately.
