Re: 75 Wagon
Yep, result of cooling issues that only showed themselves in warm weather. Thought it was the radiator and water pump, so I replaced the radiator with a 2.6l one and new water pump. Spring season hit and the Running hot issue came back. Headgasket was leaking internally and pushing coolant.
Maybe now it will be fixed! plus the 2.6l clutch fan is much bigger than the 2.0l. I'll probably get a aluminum one eventually.

Re: 75 Wagon
Just make sure you get the block faced as well as the head. Mine blew between 2 & 3 got the head checked and a new gasket, 500k's did it again. This time got the head faced and all was good

Cool, just check it with a level mate. Mine looked good to but had a low spot between 2 & 3, slight skim and was all good

Re: 75 Wagon
I should have been specific...the g54b is fine, the g52b block which the head is from would probably get the whole run through from head gasket surface to honed cylinders (it needs a honing).

Re: 75 Wagon
be gone rust! However rethinking this battery tray area...would require new steel cut and welded in, so we just coated it with rust converter after cleaning up and then I'll paint it. Going to get one of those small Odyssey batteries and adapt a 1g dsm tray to suit! Realized I forgot the water pump pulley after I put the fan on and the rear valve cover bolt decided to be a bitch and strip itself somehow for some ungrateful reason, now I get to cut the bolt and figure out the issues.
Case and everything is actually back on, still gotta take the fan back off.

Re: 75 Wagon
Hell with linkage, I'll make my own setup lol.
Dellorto stock transfer linkage in the center and Mazda B2200 cable pulley with a little filing to the slot to open it up for fitting onto the carb.
