Thanks Guys for the feedback.
Yes it is a Toyota/Lexus v8 4.0L 1UZ-FE.
As 75wagon Said this was New Zealand assembled and is badged as a Galant E.
To fit it was rather easy, had to take brake booster off to fit and that's about it. I have some pictures of the mounts and stuff.
As for the headers, i have not got them on the engine at the moment because i will have to remove engine, fit headers then put back in to see if they are going to be clear of the chassis rails and the steering coulomb. If they don't fit i will probably just have to get some dirty short log type headers for now. Basically i just want to get it running and all sweet before i go for custom extractors and all the bollocks.
It weighs about 175Kg so you get a fairly high power to weight ratio with its 200kw (260HP) and 363NM of torque.
At the moment i have the engine in and mounted
Followed by bell housing
Lightened billet flywheel
Heavy duty exedy clutch
W55 Gearbox from supra Mounted
Here are some pictures.
Followed By w55 5spd out of supra.
Gearbox Mount
Beautiful fit between the sway bar and strut, No mods here.
Shifter For Gearbox went right into original hole, bit of luck involved there.
Hard to see but that shows the power steering thing and the distance i have for extractors.
And yes i am going to remove engine, steam clean, sand, and respray engine bay.
If anyone has any ideas on suspension, brakes, diffs that would be a great help.
cheers
