Hi folks I found this site by googling scorpion diff ratio.

I'm based in Kalgoorlie

I have a late 97, L300 / SH series van with 2.4 motor, man trans, p/st and A/C.
Over some time I have found comments about changing the apparent 4.65:1 diff centre to that of a Scorpion.

The random online chat comments seen so far are that any 10 bolt Mitzi diff will swap. So I am going to have 3 point something ratio
and that will get the engine revs down and the awful fuel economy up :) ( 15L per 100kms. My AU3 Fairmont does 9.8 ! :) )

I have bought a diff from Bundaberg :) and I now have the time to execute the swap. Wish me luck. Thanks ! :)

The speedo is going to read slow so I'll get a paint pen and pop some yellow marks on the speedo face with help from my GPS speeds.

Anyone got any ideas about swapping speedo drive gear or gears?
I am not really bothering but if it's easy to source a gear or pair of gears then I'm OK with changing those.

Thanks mates! :D
